XRP is heading into a busy October, with key events and network upgrades filling the calendar. First on the schedule is XRP Seoul, set for October 3, 2026 — in the first week of the month — at the Grand Hyatt Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week, the annual industry gathering that draws blockchain leaders from around the world to the South Korean capital. The gathering opens a month that also features XRP Ledger protocol upgrades and Ripple's Swell conference.

Ripple will be prominently represented at the event. President Monica Long and RippleX SVP Markus Infanger are among the executives set to take part alongside major Korean financial institutions in discussions on the future of digital finance.

According to Hussein Zangana, known in the community as Vet and director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation, the program will feature sessions with Kyobo Securities, a major securities broker; Woori Bank, one of Korea's top four banks; and Kakao Bank, the country's leading internet bank, associated with the popular Kakao platform. The discussions are set to focus on tokenization, payments on crypto rails, and DeFi, placing XRPL-centered conversations in front of institutions spanning Korea's brokerage, traditional banking, and internet banking sectors.

XRP Ledger Gears Up for a Busy October

The XRP Ledger is set for a busy October of its own, with the Batch, fixBatchV1_2, and permissions delegation amendments slated to launch in the coming month. Batch would let users group multiple transactions so they are processed together as a single unit, while permissions delegation would allow account holders to delegate specific transaction rights to other accounts on the ledger.

Batch and its accompanying fix are eyeing mainnet activation on October 9, while permissions delegation is expected to go live on October 8, 2026, provided they sustain support above 80% throughout the two-week activation window — the standard threshold XRPL amendments must clear to reach the mainnet.

Rounding out the calendar, Swell, Ripple's annual flagship conference and a major event for the XRP and Ripple ecosystem, is expected to be held October 27–29, 2026.
