XRP Holds Below $1.40 as ETF Decisions Move to October
Key Takeaways
- •XRP has remained between roughly $1.30 support and $1.40 resistance, without a confirmed breakout.
- •Roundhill’s XRP Covered Call ETF and Teucrium’s 2x Short Daily XRP ETF now have an October 11, 2026 effective date, subject to regulatory processes.
- •The five listed XRP ETFs held a combined $1.45 billion in assets, while recording no net daily inflows on September 11.
- •XRP Ledger transactions, successful transactions, and active users declined, but the network’s closing interval remained about 3.84 seconds.
- •A break below $1.33–$1.36 could expose lower support near $1.28, while a move above $1.45 would improve the short-term technical outlook.

XRP is trading near $1.35–$1.37 in mid-September, below the $1.40 resistance level that has limited its recovery. The token has consolidated between support near $1.30 and resistance at $1.40, with no confirmed breakout in either direction.
The daily relative strength index (RSI) is about 51.7, below its signal average of 58.2. On the four-hour chart, the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) line has crossed above its signal line, although both remain below zero, indicating that bearish pressure has not fully reversed.
XRP rose from about $1.00 to above $1.50 during August and briefly approached $1.70. Since then, it has repeatedly failed to reclaim the $1.45–$1.50 range and has formed lower local highs.

ETF Decisions Move to October
Roundhill has delayed the effective date of its XRP Covered Call ETF to October 11, 2026. The fund is intended to combine XRP exposure with an options strategy designed to generate income, targeting traders seeking yield rather than only price appreciation.
Crypto analyst Xaif Crypto noted that Roundhill had moved its ETF date to October 11, the same date set for the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF. “Wall Street isn’t just buying XRP anymore, they’re building whole strategies around it,” the analyst wrote.
A post attributed to BankXRP stated:
📄 SEC filing alert: Listed Funds Trust just delayed the effectiveness of the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF to October 11, 2026. A 2x SHORT XRP ETF is literally in the pipeline. Institutions aren't just betting up on XRP they're building tools to bet against it too. Two-way… pic.twitter.com/QUu0Ic7sSY — 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸XRP (@BankXRP) September 12, 2026
Listed Funds Trust also moved the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF to October 11. The product is a leveraged inverse fund designed to seek gains when XRP declines on a given day, contrasting with Roundhill’s income-oriented strategy. Together, the proposed products would provide different types of market exposure: an income-focused approach and a vehicle designed to seek gains from daily declines.
A delayed effective date does not constitute a rejection. Both products remain subject to regulatory processes, with disclosures expected ahead of the October launch window. The October 11 date and any related disclosures are therefore the main scheduled developments to monitor alongside XRP’s price range.
ETF Assets and Ledger Activity
According to SoSoValue, XRP ETFs recorded zero net daily inflows on September 11. The five listed products held a combined $1.45 billion in assets, equivalent to 1.70% of XRP’s market capitalization. Bitwise was the largest fund by assets, with $499.49 million.

Activity on the XRP Ledger has also declined. Total transactions fell 55.6% to 1.2 million, while successful transactions dropped 59.5% to approximately 970,200. Active users declined 42.3% to 126,200.
The ledger itself continues to operate normally, with a closing interval of about 3.84 seconds. The reported weakness is in user activity rather than network performance.
XRP’s key support zone is between $1.33 and $1.36. A move below that area could bring $1.28 into focus, followed by the $1.25–$1.28 moving-average cluster. On the upside, a recovery above $1.45 would shift the short-term structure back in favor of bullish conditions.
