ShipIn Systems has announced that Stealth Maritime has expanded its deployment of FleetVision™ from an initial 12-vessel pilot to nearly its entire fleet, encompassing more than 50 tankers and gas carriers. The broader rollout enhances Stealth's capacity to support proactive safety management and to present clearer operational evidence during oil-major vetting and TMSA-related reviews.

For tanker operators, passing oil-major vetting is a commercial necessity — major charterers will not load cargo onto vessels that fail their safety and operational assessments. The Oil Companies International Marine Forum's Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) framework serves as the industry benchmark in that process, and operators are increasingly looking for ways to demonstrate not just written procedures but documented, day-to-day adherence to them.

FleetVision provides continuous, AI-powered visual analytics that enable crews and shore-based teams to detect and mitigate risks before they escalate into incidents. Complementing periodic inspections and superintendent visits, the platform offers managers a representative, 24-hour view of actual onboard conditions while maintaining a focus on prevention and crew support. The use of computer vision and AI-driven analytics in maritime safety has gained traction across the shipping industry as fleet owners seek real-time alternatives to snapshot-style audits.

Stealth Maritime involved its seafarers in the technology adoption decision from the outset. The company introduced FleetVision at an officers' conference, where more than 85% of attendees indicated they would welcome the system and use it to drive improvement. As the pilot advanced, crews incorporated FleetVision into their daily safety routines, reviewing flagged events, validating detections, and leveraging the insights to uphold onboard standards. Safety benchmarks improved across participating vessels, with PPE compliance emerging as one of the first and fastest areas of measurable progress.

The results have also transformed how Stealth demonstrates its safety performance to external stakeholders. During TMSA audits, the company can now present a transparent, continuous stream of operational evidence rather than relying exclusively on procedures and reports. This provides oil majors with a more comprehensive view of day-to-day onboard operations. Over the past year, Stealth's use of FleetVision has been noted positively in oil-major vetting and TMSA-related reviews, reinforcing the company's proactive, evidence-based approach to safety and operational oversight.
