Odos, a decentralized exchange aggregator that enables users to find efficient token swap routes across multiple DEXs and liquidity sources, is winding down its operations. The company behind the protocol announced the decision on July 23, 2026.

DEX aggregators are commonly used in decentralized finance to compare liquidity across venues and route trades without requiring users to manually check each exchange. That makes the shutdown relevant not only for active Odos users, but also for anyone relying on its interface or related services to access multi-DEX swap routing.

Designed as a non-custodial platform, Odos allows traders to connect their own wallets and execute on-chain transactions while retaining full control of their assets. Funds never leave the user's custody during the swapping process.

According to the announcement, the Odos application will enter read-only mode on July 27, 2026. All company-operated services will then permanently shut down on July 30, 2026.

Timeline and Platform Functionality

Existing users can continue using the platform as usual until July 27. Once read-only mode is activated, users will only be able to view wallet balances and transaction histories. The ability to execute new swaps or any other interactive functions will no longer be available.

New account registrations, wallet creation through Odos, and new limit orders were disabled on July 23 — the same day the wind-down was announced. Users who rely on saved transaction history, pending workflows, or Odos-specific wallet access should review those items before the final shutdown date, since company-operated services will no longer be available after July 30.

Fund Safety and Required Actions

Because Odos is non-custodial, user funds remain on their respective blockchains and under the user's control. The shutdown does not affect asset ownership.

Users who connected a self-custody wallet such as MetaMask, Rabby, or Ledger generally do not need to take any action. Their assets remain fully accessible through their wallets and can be used with other aggregators or DeFi applications.

However, users who created wallets directly through Odos using Google, Apple, email, or another social login are advised to transfer their assets to another wallet or export their private keys before July 30. The company noted that wallet access instructions will remain available on the Odos official page even after the shutdown, but completing the process early is recommended to avoid unnecessary complications.

Status of the ODOS Token and DAO

The ODOS token exists independently on-chain and is not affected by the aggregator's operational status. The company stated that it does not take custody of the token or function as its market maker, meaning the shutdown should not alter the token's underlying on-chain mechanics.

Additionally, the Odos DAO operates separately from the company and will communicate any future decisions independently.
