Harvest Midstreamは、アラスカの長期休止中のKenaiターミナルでLNG輸入を開始する時期について、従来の2028年目標から後ろ倒しし、2029年初めを目指している。

同社は、Kenai LNG施設をアラスカのRailbelt需要に対応させるために再用途化している。Railbeltは、州内の主要な電力・ガス市場であり、これまで厳しい操業環境の中で広範なインフラに依存してきた。

この時期変更により、数年間稼働していないターミナルでLNGの流れを回復させる計画はさらに1年遅れることになり、休止したエネルギーインフラを再びサービスに戻すには長い準備期間が必要であることが浮き彫りになった。
