This one habit has changed my life more than anything else, and I haven't seen anyone else talk about it.
This single mindset shift has helped me exponentially compound:
You need to treat your brain like an algorithm.
The more data you feed it, the faster it iterates.
Instead of reflecting every year, why not reflect every quarter? Every month? Every week? Every day?
I reflect every single hour (maybe a bit overkill).
Not in a stressful way, but just quick check-ins to make sure every single moment is spent on the highest leverage thing possible.
Then every night, I run through three questions:
• What went well today?
• What went badly?
• What would I do differently?
It doesn't mean every day is perfect (some days suck), but the general awareness is what compounds.
The more self-aware you are, the faster you can iterate on feedback, make changes, and achieve your results.
A small shift that I think more people should implement.
