Worldcoin Gains Attention as Analysts See Potential for WLD Upside

Worldcoin (WLD) has drawn increased market attention over the past 10 days, with the token recovering about 20% during that period and trading above its 7-day and 30-day moving averages.

Analysts at 10x Research said investors should pay closer attention to WLD price action, citing improving technical momentum and several developments that could renew interest in the token. WLD has risen 14.2% over the past week and recently regained the $0.36 level after briefly dipping below $0.30 on the monthly chart.

The analysts said the move has coincided with Grayscale filing an S-1 for a spot Worldcoin ETF. They also said supply pressure has eased after Worldchain implemented a scheduled 43% reduction in its aggregate daily WLD unlock rate. According to the report, daily emissions have fallen from around 5.1 million tokens to 2.9 million tokens, a change that can matter to traders because unlock schedules often shape how closely market participants watch short-term token supply.

The article also said Eightco Holdings holds 302 million WLD tokens, worth approximately $96 million. That stake represents nearly 8.4% of Worldcoin’s total circulating supply. However, WLD is still trading below the company’s average acquisition cost.

In the past 24 hours, WLD rose 4%, outperforming the broader crypto market, after Worldchain activated the EIP-7928 upgrade on August 17, 2026. The upgrade is designed to improve network speed by enabling parallel transaction verification.

Most blockchain networks process transactions sequentially, which can limit throughput even when validators have sufficient computing power. World Chain’s implementation of EIP-7928 aims to address that limitation by publishing a list with each block that shows which accounts and storage locations each transaction will access. Validators can then identify transactions that do not interact with each other and verify them in parallel, increasing throughput without requiring hardware upgrades.

World Chain said it is the first production Layer-2 network to activate EIP-7928 and that it deployed the upgrade ahead of Ethereum’s planned Glamsterdam upgrade, giving the token’s recent move a network-development backdrop in addition to the market and supply headlines.

Crypto Patel also said Worldcoin has gained roughly 215% from the long-term accumulation zone he identified in April. Patel previously pointed to an entry near $0.23, and WLD/USDT later reached $0.7229, which he said represented about 215% upside.

Patel said short-term traders had an opportunity to take profits in June, but that his long-term thesis remains unchanged. He said WLD’s broader macro structure remains valid, with targets of $0.63, $2, $5 and $10+. Based on the current structure, he said WLD could potentially see a 5x to 10x+ expansion if it completes its higher-timeframe trend reversal.
