AI Startup Wonderful More Than Doubles Valuation to $5 Billion in $550 Million Series C

Wonderful, an Israeli-Dutch enterprise AI startup, has closed a $550 million Series C funding round on September 2 at a $5 billion valuation, more than double the $2 billion valuation it recorded when it raised its Series B in March, according to the press release.

The raise signals how quickly capital is flowing to startups selling the infrastructure that lets large companies run AI across their entire operation rather than within a single department. The valuation jump in under six months also reflects a broader race among vendors — from hyperscalers to enterprise software incumbents — to become the orchestration layer through which large organizations deploy AI agents, a segment where no dominant standard has yet emerged.

Insight Partners leads; Salesforce joins as new investor

Insight Partners led the round — its second investment in the startup — while Salesforce joined as a new investor. Existing backers Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners all returned.

The participation of Salesforce, one of the largest enterprise software vendors and itself a major seller of AI agent tooling, gives the startup a backer with direct visibility into corporate AI adoption, and a potential distribution channel as well.

Jeff Horing, co-founder and managing director of Insight Partners, said the firm had watched the team deliver “highly successful early deployments to production at some of the world’s largest enterprises.” “Wonderful is pursuing one of the largest opportunities in enterprise AI,” he said in the announcement.

Insight Partners manages more than $90 billion in regulatory assets as of December 31, 2025, and has invested in over 900 companies, per the press release.

From customer-service bots to an “AI OS”

Founded in early 2025, Wonderful grew quickly, releasing an initial customer-service AI agent product tuned for non-English-speaking markets. The startup paired the software with teams of engineers who embedded with clients — sometimes on-site — to wire the technology into existing systems.

That hands-on, “forward-deployed” approach mirrors the go-to-market model pioneered by Palantir, which showed that embedding engineers inside client operations can deepen adoption in large enterprises and build switching costs.

That deployment model has persisted, but the company has moved beyond its first product. Wonderful now sells what it calls the Wonderful AI OS, a layer designed to coordinate agents, workflows, AI-native applications, company data, and all existing integrations. The OS is model-agnostic and works with a customer’s current tech stack, according to TechCrunch and the company’s statement.

Roey Lalazar, Wonderful’s CTO and co-founder, said customers can “adopt whichever parts of the platform make the most sense, integrate them with existing systems, choose the best models for each workload, and retain ownership of everything they build.”

The AI Operating System pitch

CEO and co-founder Bar Winkler compared the current moment to the rise of cloud computing. “Just as cloud platforms became the foundation of the modern enterprise, AI operating systems will become the foundation of every enterprise,” he said in the release, warning that without a shared layer, AI “risks recreating the sprawl of traditional SaaS.”

Since March, Wonderful says it has entered more than 35 markets and grown to a total of 650 employees. The Times reported that the fresh capital would go toward developing its products, which customers use to automate workflows and build their own AI tools.

The startup stated that the $550 million will fund faster product development, larger forward-deployed engineering teams, and capacity for rising demand for the platform.
