VinFast and GSM have announced immediate leadership changes intended to transfer senior responsibilities to a younger generation of leaders within the Vingroup ecosystem.

Pham Nhat Vuong, founder and chairman of Vingroup, is stepping down as CEO of VinFast Global. Pham Thu Huong is also relinquishing her position as chairman of GSM Global.

Pham Nhat Quan Anh, who has served as chairman of VinFast Global since May 2026, will succeed Pham Nhat Vuong as CEO of VinFast Global while retaining his current position. He will also become chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam, giving him comprehensive responsibility for VinFast’s operations.

Born in 1993, Pham Nhat Quan Anh holds a bachelor’s degree from Singapore Management University. He has held key leadership positions at VinFast and other Vingroup companies and will continue to serve as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC.

At GSM, Nguyen Quoc Tuan, the company’s current CEO, has been appointed chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Pham Thu Huong. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, will succeed Nguyen Quoc Tuan as CEO of GSM Global and will concurrently serve as CEO of GSM Vietnam.

Pham Nhat Minh Hoang has held senior leadership positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, and GSM. He is also a major shareholder in several companies within the Vingroup ecosystem.

The changes come as VinFast and GSM enter a period of what the announcement describes as strong and decisive global growth. VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, countries in Europe and the Middle East, and North America. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Vietnam, Indonesia, and India.

GSM operates the Green SM electric taxi brand and is present in seven countries. The company plans to expand into at least three additional markets this year. It is also targeting a transition into a globally scaled public company, with shares listed on an international stock exchange.

Pham Nhat Quan Anh expressed his commitment to upholding VinFast’s core values and delivering world-class products and services. The appointments are described as critical to meeting the demanding requirements of the companies’ next phase of development and reflect positive expectations for their continued international expansion.
