Procureship has onboarded approximately 100 deep-sea vessels from Stolt Tankers, one of the world's leading chemical tanker operators, onto its e-procurement platform. The move forms a key part of Stolt Tankers' initiative to further digitalise day-to-day procurement operations across its global fleet. Maritime procurement has historically relied on fragmented, manual processes across geographically dispersed fleets, making it a key target for digitalisation as shipping companies seek to control operating costs and improve supply chain visibility.

The partnership went live in June 2026 and facilitates Stolt Tankers' transition from its internally developed procurement system — which is scheduled to be retired — to Procureship's advanced e-procurement platform. Stolt Tankers is part of the Stolt-Nielsen group. The decision reflects a broader industry pattern in which shipowners are increasingly shifting from proprietary in-house IT systems to specialised maritime technology providers, an approach also being adopted across container, bulk, and offshore segments. Stolt Tankers' strategic commitment to investing in a dedicated technology provider draws on Procureship's expertise, machine learning capabilities, and automation tools to optimise procurement strategies, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven processes.

As part of the collaboration, Procureship designed and built an advanced contracts feature tailored specifically to Stolt Tankers' operational requirements. The custom module enables Stolt Tankers to manage and evaluate tenders and contracts with stakeholders more effectively, while providing access to a centralised contracts repository. It also allows the company to purchase contracted items more seamlessly by automatically generating RFQs and purchase orders (POs) for contracted items or preselected suppliers. This functionality is expected to reduce purchasing cycle times, support more informed purchasing decisions, and streamline interactions with key suppliers — an area of particular importance for chemical tanker operators, whose fleets require specialised, compliance-critical supplies and equipment.

Procureship currently supports more than 2,600 vessels globally, serving over 115 shipowners, operators, and managers worldwide. Through the partnership, Stolt Tankers aims to streamline procurement processes, enhance the effectiveness and transparency of its procurement teams, and drive greater cost savings across its global fleet.

Discussions are also underway between the two companies regarding further collaboration within Procureship's portfolio of end-to-end procurement solutions. If extended, deeper integration could position Stolt Tankers as one of the more digitally advanced chemical tanker operators in a segment where procurement automation is still at a relatively early stage of adoption.

The agreement underscores Stolt Tankers' commitment to innovation and digital transformation, as well as Procureship's capacity to deliver enterprise-scale e-procurement technology that can be tailored to the specific requirements of individual ship operators.
