Ripple has launched an artificial intelligence-powered finance platform that allows businesses to earn returns on idle funds while managing payments and cash around the clock.
The company announced the new features for Ripple Treasury, its corporate treasury management service, on Monday, ahead of its Swell 2026 conference, which begins on Tuesday. The launch adds to Ripple's efforts to extend its financial infrastructure into corporate treasury services.
According to Ripple, the system combines AI, blockchain payments, and traditional treasury functions, enabling companies to manage operations without depending entirely on bank operating hours. The platform's users include American Airlines, Subway, Christian Louboutin, Trax, Adecco, and Kingfisher.
Ripple is targeting a familiar corporate problem: companies often have money sitting idle, but moving it or putting it to work is not always straightforward. The new offering is designed to operate continuously, regardless of banking schedules.
AI automation and round-the-clock returns
The platform operates through an automation layer connected to GSmart, the artificial intelligence technology used by Ripple Treasury. It performs a range of financial tasks that organizations would otherwise handle across separate systems, including fund monitoring, cash forecasting, payment reconciliation, liquidity management, and transaction handling.
Beyond simply telling finance managers where their funds are located, the platform can convert that information into executed transactions.
Ripple is also rolling out the 24/7 Returns program, which will enable qualified businesses to earn returns on their qualifying digital assets, such as RLUSD, Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin โ a type of digital token designed to hold a steady value against the US dollar. Companies can access the service through Ripple wallets, though eligibility depends on the program's qualification requirements. That distinction matters: the program is not an all-encompassing guarantee for earning returns on every dollar a business holds.
The launch timing addresses a challenge corporate finance teams have faced for years. Because traditional banking systems have operating restrictions, money can sit unused overnight, during holidays, or throughout weekends.
The 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, conducted by the Association for Financial Professionals, found that 46% of organizations increased their US cash balances over the preceding year, while 86% of treasury professionals said their organizations would consider real-time money market funds if those products satisfied their investment policies. Ripple aims to meet that demand without requiring businesses to manage blockchain transactions themselves.
Blake Tablak, CEO of Trax, said the company's existing relationship with Ripple Treasury had already begun producing results.
"Our partnership with Ripple Treasury is just getting started and already returning value," Tablak said.
Renaat Ver Eecke, senior vice president at Ripple Treasury, said: "Our vision is to bring treasury management, intelligence, and execution together, giving finance teams the ability to act faster and operate continuously without adding complexity or sacrificing control."
Ripple expands financial infrastructure as XRP trading volume drops
The development comes at a time when XRP is set for another difficult session, with sell pressure from major players continuing despite sustained institutional interest.
XRP trading volumes dropped 10% over 24 hours to $1.48 billion Monday, indicating that buyers had become less aggressive ahead of Tuesday's start of the Swell conference.
The decline was not limited to the cryptocurrency associated with Ripple. Bitcoin fell 0.42% to trade around $80,500, while Ethereum slipped 0.38% to around $2,330. The broader market also traded lower during the session, with total cryptocurrency market capitalization standing at approximately $2.68 trillion and about $51 billion in turnover over 24 hours.
Institutional money flows told a somewhat different story. After recording outflows the previous week, US spot XRP exchange-traded funds received inflows totaling $4.25 million up to October 26. Spot ETFs hold the underlying token directly, and their daily flows are widely tracked as a gauge of institutional participation.
