Outpoll has launched Trading, a perpetual futures exchange integrated directly into its prediction market platform. Events, futures and the Outpoll app now operate as one service with a shared balance, allowing traders to form a view about an event, trade the resulting price movement and manage both positions in one place.
For example, a trader who expects the Federal Reserve to cut rates can take a position on that outcome and open a short or long position on SPX500 without moving between platforms. The same balance can support a forecast on oil supply and a position in oil. Forecasts and hedges are available side by side through the web interface and app.
According to Outpoll, prediction markets indicate what participants expect, while futures allow traders to act on price movements. The company said most platforms offer only one of these products: prediction markets generally do not provide leveraged instruments, while derivatives venues typically do not offer event markets. Outpoll combines both through one account, one balance and one app.
Trading offers three asset groups quoted against USDT and USDC, the two most widely used dollar-pegged stablecoins:
- Cryptocurrencies: BTC, XMR, PUMPFUN and more, with more than 80 pairs in total
- Stocks and indices: AAPL, MSFT, SPX500 and others, with more than 20 pairs in total
- Commodities: Four pairs
All contracts are perpetual and therefore have no expiry date to roll, a contract format that became a standard instrument in crypto derivatives markets because it allows continuous exposure without settlement dates. Traders can take long or short positions with leverage of up to 100x, a level at which relatively small adverse price moves can trigger liquidation — which is where a pre-order liquidation calculator becomes relevant.
The platform also supports isolated and cross margin, as well as One-way and Hedge modes, which allow users to hold long and short positions in the same asset simultaneously. Available order types include Market, Limit and Stop Market orders, along with Take Profit, Stop Loss and Reduce-Only instructions.
Additional features include TradingView charts within the order screen, a calculator that displays the liquidation price before an order is placed, and a public API for algorithmic strategies.
