Infosys plans to recruit 20,000 college graduates in FY27, CNBC-TV18 reported, as India’s second-largest IT services firm continues hiring fresh talent despite concerns that artificial intelligence could slow recruitment across the technology sector.

According to the report, the company is positioning the planned intake of fresh graduates against a backdrop of rapid changes in IT roles driven by AI adoption. Graduate hiring is closely watched in India’s IT services industry because large firms depend on campus recruitment to build entry-level delivery capacity and train employees for client projects, even as automation and AI tools change the mix of skills required.

Infosys also reiterated its acquisition strategy, appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO designate, and narrowed the upper end of its annual revenue growth guidance. Those updates place the hiring plan within a broader operating picture that includes leadership transition, inorganic growth priorities and a more cautious revenue outlook.

Infosys is one of India’s largest information technology services companies, with operations spanning software services, consulting, digital transformation and outsourcing. The company is headquartered in Bengaluru and serves clients across global markets.
