Formula 1 is bringing back the F1 Live event that debuted in London last year, this time with an expanded format and a new host city: Milan.

F1 Live Milan will consist of a three-day fan festival alongside F1 The Show, a one-off stage event featuring all 11 teams plus live music and entertainment. The event is scheduled for 18–20 February, ahead of the start of the 2027 season.

"We are always thinking big and pushing boundaries, and F1 Live Milan is going to be an incredible experience created with our fans at its heart," said F1 president Stefano Domenicali.

"We want them to feel that they are not simply watching the sport, but they are truly immersed in it. It is an important part of our ongoing ambition to bring Formula 1 closer to fans than ever before, giving them the chance to see their heroes up close and experience the energy, innovation, and emotion that make Formula 1 so unique.

"As F1 continues to reach new audiences around the world, racing will always be our soul – but we also want to create unforgettable experiences that bring the excitement of Formula 1 to life on an even bigger scale and continue to explore what is possible."

The announcement comes as this week's racing takes place at Monza, the historic circuit near Milan in northern Italy. The choice of Milan places the event in one of the sport's most historic markets: Italy is home to Ferrari, the championship's only team to have competed in every season since 1950, and Monza has hosted the Italian Grand Prix for most of that history, making the city a natural fit for a large-scale fan celebration.

F1 Live Milan to build on London success

The first edition of F1 Live, held at the O2 in London in early 2025, marked the championship's 75th anniversary and proved a sell-out success. The event served as the launch of the 2025 season, with all teams unveiling their new liveries on stage, and the format is being expanded for Milan with the addition of a multi-day citywide festival around the stage show.

As with the London event, the Milan show is set to feature appearances from all 22 drivers and 11 team principals. Further details will be announced and tickets will go on sale later this year, according to F1.

"Building on the extraordinary success of F1 75 in London, F1 Live Milan will transform the city into a Formula 1 festival for three unforgettable days, bringing people together from across the globe to celebrate everything they love about our sport," Domenicali added.

"I know my fellow Italians will offer a fantastic welcome to fans travelling to F1 Live Milan and I cannot wait to see the city come to life with Formula 1 energy, creating memories that will last a lifetime."
