CONVERGE ICT Solutions, Inc. led Ookla’s fixed broadband rankings in the first half of 2026, retaining its position as the Philippines’ fastest internet service provider, according to the latest report from the global network testing company.
“We take pride in providing the best broadband service to our over three million subscribers… Being awarded the fastest provider for four straight years, best ISP for three years, and now confirmed to have the best latency, is a testament to our consistent efforts to deliver superior performance,” Converge Chief Operations Officer Benjamin B. Azada said in a media release on Monday.
Ookla’s first-half report showed that the listed fiber broadband and technology company recorded the highest connectivity score at 73.14. Globe Telecom, Inc. followed with 72.56, while PLDT Home Fiber scored 70.54 and PLDT Inc. posted 67.59. The rankings are closely watched by broadband providers because they reflect performance indicators that households and businesses use to compare fixed-line internet quality, including speed and responsiveness.
PLDT Home Fiber is the residential fixed broadband brand of PLDT Inc.
Converge said the latest result continues its winning streak in the Ookla Speedtest Awards, which the company said dates back to 2022.
The company also placed first in Ookla’s video streaming score, web browsing score, and speed score for both the first and second quarters of 2026.
Ookla says its Speed Score combines download speed, upload speed, and latency to measure the typical user experience. Its Connectivity Score evaluates the broader connected experience across high-bandwidth activities. Latency is a key measure for real-time uses such as video calls, online gaming, and other interactive services, while streaming and browsing scores indicate how networks handle common daily internet activities.
In the Speed Score category, Converge registered 61.86. Globe followed with 60.84, PLDT Home Fiber scored 58.48, and PLDT recorded 54.48.
“These results reflect the discipline behind our network investments and the standard we intend to keep raising as we expand nationwide,” Converge Senior Vice-President and Head of Consumer Business Group John Paul Aguilar said.
