Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) shares rose 3.73% to $131.87 after the bank announced an expanded premium dining and lifestyle series with Mastercard for its Strata Elite cardmembers. The companies plan to stage three major events tied to fashion, motorsport, and art during fall 2026, deepening Citi's push to connect credit card rewards with exclusive cultural experiences.

The Curated Table Returns to Three Cities

Citi and Mastercard will bring The Curated Table series to New York, Austin, and Miami this fall. Launched last year, each event combines fine dining with a major cultural or entertainment setting exclusively for Strata Elite cardmembers.

The first event is scheduled for September 9 at The Shed in New York. Fashion designer Christian Siriano will present a runway show, while the Voltaggio brothers will helm the dining experience. Citi timed the event to coincide with New York's fashion season.

The Austin event follows on October 21 during a major Formula 1 weekend. The program will feature the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team along with a special driver appearance, accompanied by a premium dining experience tied to the race.

Miami will host the third event on December 2 during the city's annual art week. Citi plans to blend dining, music, visual art, and multi-sensory elements, with the featured artist to be announced closer to the date.

Strata Elite Rewards Structure

The Curated Table supports Citi's broader strategy for the Strata Elite rewards card, which targets consumers seeking premium travel, dining, and entertainment benefits while strengthening loyalty among high-spending customers. The premium card segment has become increasingly competitive, with American Express Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, and Capital One Venture X all vying for the same affluent cardholder base through travel credits, airport lounge access, and curated event access.

Cardmembers earn 12 points per dollar on hotels, car rentals, and attractions booked through Citi Travel, and six points per dollar on flights booked through the same platform. Restaurant purchases earn six points during selected weekend hours and three points at all other times. The card provides 1.5 points per dollar on all other purchases.

Citi estimates that the card's combined travel, dining, and lifestyle benefits offer approximately $1,500 in annual value, though actual value depends on cardmember utilization of available credits and services.

Mastercard World Elite Partnership

The Citi Strata Elite became the first issued card to carry Mastercard's World Legend premium benefits tier. These benefits include priority restaurant reservations and access to selected music, theater, and sporting events, with Mastercard leveraging its global network to support the card's experience-based rewards package. The partnership extends a broader industry trend in which card networks and issuers collaborate on exclusive experiences rather than competing solely on rewards rates and fees.

Eligible cardmembers can purchase Curated Table tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Standard tickets start at $100, while a limited number of premium packages offer additional access. Select September packages include entry to Christian Siriano's runway show alongside the dining event.
