Cardano DEX Volume Jumps 2,965% in a Week as ADA Hits Weekly High

Cardano's decentralized exchange activity has surged in recent days, with weekly DEX volume climbing 2,965%, according to DeFiLlama data. DEX volume measures trading executed through the network's decentralized protocols rather than centralized venues. The token has moved higher alongside the on-chain activity, gaining more than 14% over seven days and touching a weekly high of $0.2617, per CoinMarketCap. ADA traded near $0.256 at the time of writing, close to the upper end of its September recovery range.

DEX Volume Expansion

DeFiLlama's dashboard shows roughly $217.56 million in seven-day DEX volume on Cardano, a 2,965% increase from the preceding period. Over the past 30 days, the network recorded $248.31 million in DEX volume. Because the weekly figure covers most of the monthly total, the bulk of the past month's on-chain trading was concentrated in the latest seven days.

Daily figures sit at a different level. DeFiLlama currently reports $1.68 million in DEX volume over the past 24 hours, indicating that a large portion of the recent trading occurred during stronger sessions earlier in the period.

Cardano's historical DEX chart shows several earlier bursts of volume expansion, with weekly trading climbing above $100 million during multiple periods between 2023 and 2025. The latest activity has produced another visible spike on the long-term chart, with the current weekly total running at more than double the $100 million level that marked those earlier bursts.

ADA Climbs More Than 14% in Seven Days

ADA traded near $0.2558 in the latest market data after gaining about 1.8% over 24 hours. Despite the modest daily move, the seven-day rally exceeded 14%. The token reached $0.2617 during the week, marking its highest price over the measured period, after touching about $0.2655 on Sept. 26 before pulling back.

The cryptocurrency carried a market capitalization of roughly $9.62 billion, with 24-hour spot trading volume near $751.48 million. The latest move leaves ADA trading close to the upper end of its recent range. Continued buying would need to push the token beyond its weekly peak to extend the advance.

Barca Fan Lab Launches on Cardano

Ecosystem developments have added further activity around the network. FC Barcelona recently launched Barca Fan Lab with Andamio on Cardano, an initiative backed by Project Catalyst Fund 13, part of Cardano's community funding program. The project allows users to participate in educational and community activities associated with the football club and to receive verifiable digital credentials stored in their wallets, connecting Cardano infrastructure with a global sports brand and its online community.

Yaci Store 2.0.3 Ships, 3.0.0 Beta in the Works

Development activity has continued through updates to Yaci Store. Bloxbean released version 2.0.3 with broader token metadata support and changes related to governance data.

Developers are also preparing Yaci Store 3.0.0 beta. The planned version includes additional plugins, Blockfrost-compatible APIs, and a SQL analytics layer, tools intended to give Cardano applications more ways to access and organize blockchain data.

Upcoming Milestones in Focus

Whether ADA's recent price gain holds while network trading stays active remains the key near-term question. A move the recent weekly peak would extend the token's short-term advance. Upcoming network events may also keep Cardano activity in focus: RealFi is scheduled to launch on October 1, while the Amaru beta is expected later in October.
