Bitmine Immersion Technologies has increased its Ethereum holdings to 6,016,414 ETH, equivalent to about 4.9% of Ethereum’s 122.1 million total supply and 99% of the company’s stated goal of owning 5% of all ETH. Reaching that goal would put one out of every twenty ETH in existence under a single corporate treasury’s control. Strategy, meanwhile, added 334 BTC and lifted its holdings to 848,000 BTC.

Bitmine added 15,112 ETH last week and has purchased ETH every week since launching its ETH treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. Chairman Tom Lee described the record as unmatched among public companies.

According to Bitmine’s company announcement, the company has staked 5,067,309 ETH — roughly 4% of the network’s total supply — tying its treasury returns directly to the security and operation of Ethereum. At an ETH price of $2,726, the staked assets were valued at $13.8 billion. Staking involves locking ETH to help secure the network in exchange for rewards.

Lee said Bitmine’s annualized staking revenue is projected at $363 million. The company’s total crypto assets, cash, marketable securities and other investments amount to $17.4 billion. Its portfolio also includes 214 BTC, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $117 million stake in Eightco Holdings. Cash and marketable securities total $643 million.

Strategy, described in Bitmine’s release as the world’s largest crypto treasury, acquired 334 BTC for $28.7 million between October 1 and October 4 at an average price of $85,839. Its bitcoin holdings now have an aggregate cost of about $63.97 billion, an implied average of roughly $75,400 per bitcoin. The purchase was funded with $15.7 million from MSTR share sales and $13 million in cash.

Strategy also repurchased approximately $176.3 million of STRC preferred shares between September 28 and October 4, a move that reduces the number of those shares outstanding.

Strategy’s 8-K filing estimates a $20.91 billion gain on digital assets for the third quarter. U.S.-listed companies use 8-K filings to disclose material developments, and these estimates cover the quarter ended September 30. Its bitcoin was valued at $70.82 billion as of September 30.

Bitmine’s release ranks Strategy as the top global crypto treasury and Bitmine as the second-largest. It cites Strategy’s holdings at 847,666 BTC, valued at roughly $78 billion. The difference from Strategy’s subsequently reported total reflects the timing of the figures.

Lee said ETH declined 10% during the first nine months of 2026, while BMNR declined 3%. He also said ETH outperformed the S&P 500 by 6,832 basis points in the third quarter. These figures are company claims and are not independent findings.

The companies use different treasury approaches. Bitmine stakes its ETH to generate yield, while Strategy holds bitcoin, which does not provide staking rewards, and uses equity sales and buybacks as part of its capital strategy.

Fundstrat data shows that BMNR averaged $827 million in daily dollar volume during the five days through October 2, ranking it 125th among 5,704 US-listed stocks, within roughly the top 2% of US-listed names by dollar turnover.

Lee is scheduled to deliver a keynote at Token2049, one of the crypto industry’s largest annual conferences, on October 7 at 10 a.m. in Singapore. Bitmine is approaching its 5% ETH target as Strategy continues adding bitcoin and repurchasing preferred shares.
