The search for the best crypto to buy has intensified after a week in which BTC, ETH and SOL rose 21.6%, 27.5% and 24.2%, respectively, even after investors began taking profits. Bitcoin is trading around $78,300, down 1.6% over the past 24 hours, Ethereum is holding above $2,400 after a 1.4% daily decline, and Solana is changing hands at $96 following a 4% drop on the day. The total value of the crypto market stands at $2.65 trillion, 1.4% lower on the day, while the Fear and Greed Index remains in “extreme greed” territory with a score of 80.
Presales have continued to attract funding during the pullback. As large-cap coins delivered a strong weekly move, many buyers have shifted some capital into newer opportunities. That has helped the LiquidChain (LIQUID) presale pass $950,000, supporting the team’s plans to build a new Layer 3 network intended to combine Ethereum’s dApp compatibility, Bitcoin’s market-leading capital base and Solana’s speed in a single trading and development environment.
LIQUID is being presented as the best crypto to buy for investors who expect demand for BTC, ETH and SOL to keep expanding in the coming years.
Bitcoin Pulls Back After a Rally Above $81,000
Bitcoin’s 21.6% week-on-week gain remains a major focus for traders and investors despite the morning decline. The world’s largest cryptocurrency reached a recent high of about $81,270 yesterday morning before reversing as profit-taking began. Ethereum has also slipped 1.4% on the day while keeping a 27.5% weekly gain, and Solana has had a weaker session after falling 4%.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $314.37 million in net inflows yesterday, bringing cumulative net purchases to $54.36 billion. The US Treasury’s decision to expand buybacks of longer-dated bonds helped fuel the broader market’s advance last week, while today’s inflation data and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole on Friday will be closely watched as the next tests of whether demand is strong enough to sustain recent crypto gains.
Trader Michaël van de Poppe said Bitcoin’s current setup could lead to another move toward $82,700 or even $90,000, while a near-term drop to $77,000 remains possible if bears take control.
Indecisive chop to me on $BTC . However; – #Altcoins do have suffer a correction when Bitcoin corrects slightly. – BTC isn't ready with this upwards run. If it breaks through $79,500, I won't be surprised we'll be seeing $82,700 being taken out. We can even think of seeing… pic.twitter.com/AcBkTbiA28 — Michaël van de Poppe (@CryptoMichNL) August 26, 2026

Meanwhile, capital that missed the first part of the latest rally has continued to move into earlier-stage presales, and LiquidChain says it is advancing ahead of competing projects.
LiquidChain Targets Shared Liquidity Across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana
LiquidChain (LIQUID) is a Layer 3 network designed to let Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana work together to support new protocols and DeFi activity through shared liquidity pools. Although much of Web3’s capital and application activity already runs on at least one of those three chains, moving value between them still often requires wrapping tokens or using a conventional bridge. LiquidChain says it plans to represent assets from each chain without wrapping and allow them to be traded more directly.
The project says its virtual machine, modeled on Solana’s, will process transactions, while separate proofs will verify Bitcoin UTXOs, Ethereum states and Solana accounts.

LIQUID is the native cryptocurrency of the network. According to the project, users will need it to pay fees, earn staking rewards and participate in governance. The total supply is 11.8 billion LIQUID. In the tokenomics outline, development is allocated 35%, LiquidLabs 32.5%, AquaVault 15%, staking rewards 10% and listings and growth 7.5%.
CertiK’s review of the token contract found no critical faults, and LIQUID passed all 26 formal verification checks.
The presale is in a late stage, and the next major milestone includes the token’s first major exchange listings. The roadmap after the sale includes testnet tool creation, unified pools, multichain swaps, the network’s mainnet debut and new DeFi modules for derivatives and lending.
LIQUID Presale Passes $950,000
LIQUID is priced at $0.01494 in the current presale stage. The project has raised more than $950,200 against a stage target of roughly $1 million. Staking available during the sale includes a dynamic reward rate of 1,195% APY.
With Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana all posting weekly gains above 20% and the Fear and Greed Index still in “extreme greed” territory, capital has continued to flow toward tokens that have not yet listed on exchanges. As LiquidChain prepares for its exchange debut, the project is drawing attention as part of the broader search for the best crypto to buy right now.
