Askari Metals Ramps Up Exploration at Uis Critical Metals Project Ahead of Drilling

Askari Metals (ASX: AS2) has identified further critical mineral potential through ongoing work programs at its Uis project in Namibia, confirming polymetallic pegmatite potential as it ramps up multiple workstreams and advances a growing pipeline of drill-ready pegmatite targets.

The Uis project sits within a Namibian district with a long history of tin mining, centred on the historic Uis tin mine, one of the world's larger hard-rock tin operations before its closure in the 1990s. Pegmatites in the region are known to host tin, tantalum and lithium, minerals classified as critical by major economies due to their strategic importance in electronics, batteries and energy technologies — a backdrop that underpins exploration interest in the area.

A key area of activity is a soil geochemical survey being undertaken across exploration area EPL 7626, now approaching 75% completion. The survey is a core component of Askari's systematic exploration strategy, designed to identify and prioritise concealed pegmatite targets within the broader Uis Project area. The program is expected to provide valuable geochemical vectors to support target generation and assist in defining additional priority areas for follow-up mapping, trenching, and drilling. Once completed, all samples will be submitted for laboratory analysis and integrated with geological, geophysical, and hyperspectral datasets to further refine exploration targets across the licence area.

The company is also progressing toward completion of the first phase of trenching at the highly prospective Kestrel pegmatite target within EPL 8535. Preliminary observations continue to support the target's prospectivity, and the company remains encouraged by the scale and continuity of pegmatite development identified to date.

In parallel with soil sampling and trenching, Askari's field teams continue detailed geological mapping and rock-chip sampling on a number of significant targets identified across EPL 7345 and EPL 8535.

Executive director Gino D'Anna said the ongoing work is progressively building a robust inventory of priority targets, allowing the company to rank and prioritise future drill programs across the broader Uis project.

"The Uis project continues to deliver a growing pipeline of high-priority targets as multiple exploration workstreams progress simultaneously across the project area," he said.

"With the soil sampling survey at EPL 7626 nearing completion, trenching advancing at the Kestrel pegmatite target, and RC drilling planning underway across the DP, PS, K9, and OP Targets, Askari is rapidly building momentum toward the next phase of value-generating exploration.

"Importantly, our field teams continue to identify and refine new opportunities across EPL 7345 and EPL 8535, reinforcing our belief that Uis has the potential to host multiple mineralised pegmatite systems. We look forward to updating shareholders as assay results are received and drilling preparations advance."

With drilling planning underway, upcoming catalysts for shareholders include assay results from the soil sampling and trenching programs, and the commencement of RC drilling at the DP, PS, K9, and OP targets.
