Singapore-based offshore vessel operator PACC Offshore Services Holdings (POSH) has secured a long-term subsea diving services contract in the Arabian Gulf, a region that remains one of the world's most active offshore oil and gas markets with sustained demand for subsea construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair work.
Under the agreement, the Kuok Maritime Group company will deploy its diving support vessel POSH Mallard to deliver saturation and air diving services for upcoming offshore developments, with support from a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). POSH did not disclose the client, contract value, commencement date, or firm duration of the engagement.
The POSH Mallard was built in 2017 at PaxOcean Engineering's Zhoushan shipyard in China. The 89-metre DP2 vessel is equipped with a 12-man saturation diving system rated to a depth of 300 metres and a 120-tonne active heave-compensated subsea crane. Saturation diving systems enable prolonged deep-water intervention work, making vessels like the POSH Mallard critical assets for operators managing complex offshore infrastructure.
Prior to this fixture, the POSH Mallard worked alongside three other POSH vessels on a subsea installation project off India, awarded to a POSH-Seamec consortium for more than $100 million. That project's scope covered the seventh phase of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's (ONGC) pipeline replacement programme off India's west coast.
The latest contract adds to POSH's expanding subsea presence in the Middle East. In 2024, the company secured its first Arabian Gulf SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines) installation contract, deploying the construction vessel POSH Deep C to install approximately 170 kilometres of power cables, umbilicals, and flexible flowlines.
PACC Offshore Services Holdings is a subsidiary of the Kuok Maritime Group, one of Singapore's established marine and offshore groups. The company operates a fleet of offshore support vessels serving the oil and gas, renewable energy, and subsea construction sectors across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and other regions.
