BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) said its Ethereum holdings have increased to 5.79 million ETH after the company added 9,946 ETH.
The company said the position represents about 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply. Ethereum, whose native token is ETH, is one of the largest blockchain networks by market capitalization and is widely used for decentralized applications, stablecoins, token issuance, and staking.
BitMine reported $11.8 billion in total crypto, cash, marketable securities, and other investments. That figure includes 4.92 million staked ETH valued at $9.6 billion, according to the company. Staked ETH is committed to Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system, where validators help secure the network and can receive protocol rewards.
The company also said it repurchased 6.1 million shares under its $4 billion buyback program. BitMine added that it remains focused on acquiring 5% of Ethereum’s total supply, making the size of its ETH position and the mix of staked assets central metrics to watch in future company updates.
