FPJ's Batang Quiapo, led by actor, director, and screenwriter Coco Martin, dominated the series categories at the 1st Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Broadcast Awards, held on July 20 at the Manila Hotel and streamed live on Facebook. The awards recognized work across television, radio, podcasts, and online channels, marking the first time the historically cinema-focused institution expanded its scope to Philippine broadcast media.

Batang Quiapo, an ABS-CBN action-drama series adapted from the 1986 Fernando Poe Jr. film, won Best Series, Best Screenplay for Mr. Martin, Best Director for Mr. Martin, and Best Supporting Performer for Joel Lamangan.

Broadcast journalist Kara David also emerged as one of the top winners with three awards. She won Best Public Affairs Talk Show for I-Listen, Best Documentary for the I-Witness episode "Embalsamador de Motor," and Best Host for Public Service, which she shared with vlogger-actress Ivana Alawi for Ms. Alawi's eponymous YouTube channel. The inclusion of YouTube channels and podcasts among the categories reflects the growing prominence of digital-native content in the Philippine media landscape, with winners such as CongTV (Best Comedy Show) and Facts First (Best Podcast) alongside traditional network programs.

Vice Ganda received Best Host for Entertainment for their work on It's Showtime, which also won Best Variety Show.
