XRP Price Prediction: Analyst Javon Marks Says XRP Could Hit $15

Author: Yahoo Finance·

Key Takeaways

  • •Technical analyst Javon Marks predicts XRP could reach approximately $15 by applying the roughly 2,872% gain from the token's 2017 triangle breakout to its November 2024 breakout point of $0.50.
  • •Marks previously established credibility by accurately forecasting in January 2024 that XRP would rise from $0.56 to $2.47, a target the token ultimately exceeded by reaching $3.65 in July 2025.
  • •XRP at $15 would carry a market valuation of approximately $937 billion, requiring roughly $870 billion in new capital and representing nearly three-quarters of Bitcoin's current market capitalization.
  • •The CLARITY Act, which would permanently codify XRP's status as a digital commodity under federal law, faces slim chances in the Senate where it requires 60 votes including at least seven Democratic supporters.
  • •Even XRP returning to its all-time high of $3.84 would represent a 250% gain from the current $1.10 price and remains contingent on improved regulatory clarity for institutional participation.

XRP Price Prediction: Analyst Javon Marks Says XRP Could Hit $15

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) has stayed pinned near $1 since dropping below $1.20 in the first week of June. The cryptocurrency's price remains far below what many investors had anticipated heading into the year, given expectations that XRP would rally as Ripple continues securing institutional deals and expanding its payment network. XRP functions as a bridge asset in Ripple's cross-border payment infrastructure, designed to facilitate faster settlement between fiat currencies for financial institutions.

Most price forecasts now revolve around whether XRP can surpass the $3.84 all-time high it set more than eight years ago. However, technical analyst Javon Marks predicts XRP could reach approximately $15 — about fourteen times its current price.

XRP-USD was up 0.36% and BTC-USD was up 0.48% at the time of reporting.

Who Is Javon Marks?

Marks is a technical analyst who publishes chart-based research on X (formerly Twitter). He works on multi-year timeframes rather than the daily support and resistance levels most XRP traders follow.

He first attracted attention in January 2024, when XRP traded around $0.56. At the time, the coin had stagnated since its 2021 peak and Ripple was still engaged in its SEC lawsuit, so few analysts were calling for a major move. The SEC had charged Ripple in December 2020 with conducting an unregistered securities offering through XRP sales, and the case had weighed on the token for years. In July 2023, federal judge Analisa Torres ruled that programmatic XRP sales on public exchanges did not constitute investment contracts — a decision widely regarded as a landmark for crypto regulation in the United States. Even so, the litigation was not fully resolved, leaving uncertainty that kept many institutional participants on the sidelines. Marks projected a target of $2.47 — a fourfold gain.

XRP remained flat for another ten months before breaking out in November 2024, surging through his target and reaching $3.65 by July 2025. The November rally coincided with a broad crypto market surge following the U.S. presidential election, which lifted Bitcoin to record highs and renewed investor appetite for major altcoins. His prediction was early and ultimately accurate, which is why the call continues to be referenced.

Marks first published his $15 call in February, after XRP fell from above $1.90 in late January to $1.15 on February 5. He reiterated the forecast on July 24 with the price near $1.10.

Why Javon Marks Predicts XRP Could Hit $15

The chart Marks analyzes begins in 2017, when XRP climbed from under one cent to above $3. The token then spent nearly seven years grinding lower, forming lower highs and lower lows within a triangle pattern that began taking shape in January 2018.

XRP broke out of that triangle in November 2024, rallying from $0.50 to above $2 within weeks before continuing to $3.65 the following July.

That breakout is the foundation for Marks' target. He compares the current setup to the 2017 pattern, reasoning that a market absorbing years of selling pressure within a triangle carries comparable force on the way out as it did going in. The 2017 pattern produced a gain of roughly 2,872%, and applying that same percentage to the $0.50 breakout point yields a price near $15.

XRP has fallen significantly since that breakout, which would typically invalidate a bullish pattern. However, a descending trendline had capped XRP from its 2018 peak until the 2025 advance finally broke above it. XRP's slide to $1.15 on February 5 touched the same trendline from above before bouncing.

Marks interprets the pullback as part of the broader structure, drawing a parallel to 2017, when XRP broke out, plunged, and then completed the remainder of its move afterward.

Is $15 Realistic for XRP?

XRP has produced massive rallies before. It climbed from $0.17 in January 2021 to $1.96 that April — a gain of approximately 1,050%. It rose another 630% from $0.50 at the November 2024 breakout to $3.65 last July. Marks' $15 forecast implies a roughly 1,260% increase from today's $1.10 price, exceeding both of those prior runs.

However, XRP starts from a substantially larger base this time. Its market cap peaked near $215 billion last July — the highest it has ever been. XRP has consistently ranked among the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum. At $15, the approximately 62.5 billion XRP in circulation would be valued at roughly $937 billion.

Bitcoin's entire market cap is approximately $1.28 trillion today, and every crypto asset combined totals about $2.27 trillion. XRP at $15 would be worth nearly three-quarters of Bitcoin's market cap and more than 40% of the total crypto market. XRP's current market cap stands at approximately $69 billion, meaning reaching $15 would require roughly $870 billion in new capital flowing into the token.

What Could XRP Realistically Reach?

XRP came within 5% of its all-time high last July, reaching $3.65 versus the $3.84 record set in 2018. Scaling that all-time high would represent a 250% move from today's $1.10 price and lift XRP's market cap to approximately $240 billion — about a quarter of the $937 billion valuation it would reach at $15.

Even approaching those levels, however, depends significantly on the CLARITY Act. The bill would codify XRP's status as a digital commodity into federal law, replacing the joint interpretive guidance that the SEC and CFTC issued in March, which any future administration could withdraw. The March guidance itself built on Judge Torres' 2023 ruling but stopped short of a permanent legislative classification, which is why market participants view the CLARITY Act as the more durable fix. Institutions have partly stayed on the sidelines because that protection is temporary.

The bill's chances appear slim. It requires 60 votes in the Senate, meaning at least seven Democrats would need to support it. Democrats stated that the Republican-drafted text fell short when it was released on July 22 — including both Democratic senators who had previously voted the bill out of committee.

XRP more than tripling from $1.10 to $3.84 would represent a strong year by any measure, and even that outcome hinges on the crypto market structure bill clearing the Senate.
