Ripple Escrow Balance Verified at 32.445 Billion XRP Through On-Chain Records

Ripple’s publicly verifiable escrow balance stands at 32.445 billion XRP, according to XRP Ledger data cited by community members to address conflicting figures circulating on social media.

The figures were supported by Hussein Zangana, director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation, who is known as Vet on X. He referenced XRPScan records and also pointed to Ripple’s published escrow accounts and verified operational addresses.

The clarification comes as Ripple continues to expand institutional infrastructure through Ripple Mint and support RLUSD adoption through an investment tied to compliant digital asset payment networks.

XRP community members said publicly available blockchain data shows 32.445 billion XRP remains locked in escrow. The update was presented as a response to inconsistent escrow balances being shared in recent discussions, with users directing attention back to records available on the XRP Ledger.

According to XRP community member Saul on X, many recent posts and conversations have cited escrow figures that no longer match current on-chain data. To address the discrepancy, he shared what he described as the latest snapshot of Ripple’s escrow holdings, placing the balance at 32.4 billion XRP.

Vet backed the figures by citing XRPScan. According to him, the blockchain explorer confirms the reported escrow balance through publicly accessible ledger data.

The XRPScan snapshot lists 32,445,002,702 XRP in escrow. It also shows a circulating supply of 67,526,265,430 XRP, while total XRP burned has reached 14,365,934. The XRP Ledger currently has 8,019,684 activated accounts, according to the same data.

Escrow data is closely watched because it separates XRP that is locked by ledger-enforced conditions from XRP counted in circulating supply. Unlike off-chain company disclosures, these balances can be checked directly through public XRP Ledger explorers, giving users a way to compare social media claims against ledger records.

By pointing to public blockchain records, community members sought to replace speculation with verifiable information. The data also shows that Ripple’s escrow holdings can be independently checked through XRP Ledger explorers.

Ripple publishes additional public XRPL operational data

According to Vet, Ripple has also increased transparency by publishing its public operational accounts in the XRPL TOML file on its website. He said Ripple validates those addresses using its Unique Node List validator signature, allowing users to verify the information independently.

The published records identify 20 XRP escrow accounts linked to Ripple’s operations. They also include two account clusters, several validator addresses, including one on the decentralized UNL, and the official RLUSD issuer address.

The disclosures give developers, institutions, and community members additional resources for tracking Ripple’s publicly disclosed on-chain activity. They also complement escrow data already available through XRP Ledger explorers. For teams building on XRPL or monitoring RLUSD activity, published account metadata can help distinguish official issuer, validator, and operational addresses from unrelated wallets.

Ripple has also expanded its institutional payment infrastructure with the launch of Ripple Mint. The platform allows institutions to mint, redeem, manage, and automate transactions involving Ripple USD (RLUSD) through both a user interface and programmatic access.

Ripple recently announced a strategic investment in an institutional payment network that processes more than $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. The partnership is intended to accelerate compliant stablecoin payments while supporting broader RLUSD adoption across institutional digital asset infrastructure.

The latest on-chain data has helped address conflicting claims about Ripple’s escrow holdings. According to Saul and Vet on X, publicly available XRP Ledger records confirm that 32.445 billion XRP remains locked in escrow, while Ripple’s expanded account disclosures provide additional visibility into its operations.
