Trump Backs CLARITY As Senate Debate Continues
Donald Trump called on Congress to pass what he described as a fair version of CLARITY, during a Wednesday press conference.
The bill would establish a broader regulatory framework for digital assets. It has faced delays over tokenized equities, stablecoin rewards and ethics concerns.
Trump previously urged lawmakers to advance the bill following Senator Lindsey Graham’s death.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said CLARITY could receive more than 60 Senate votes. He argued the bill could make US crypto policy durable for decades.
The Senate is currently out of session, delaying further action on the legislation.
