Elizabeth Warren says the CLARITY Act was 'written by the crypto industry'
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren) tore into the CLARITY Act, telling Forbes she supports federal crypto rules but not a bill she characterizes as an industry-written giveaway, and going further on Trump than her usual script: a president who "appears to just be taking bribes out in public." She also pointed to Minnesota as the place crypto money is trying to buy a Congress right now.
Warren said negotiations still haven't resolved her concerns on corruption, consumer protection, and national security, and doubts anyone moves the bill before those are fixed. Republicans counter that Democrats keep shifting goalposts, with a first vote still possible before recess.
