Harvest Midstream a indiqué viser désormais le début de 2029 pour commencer à importer du GNL au terminal de Kenai, en Alaska, longtemps inactif, repoussant ainsi son objectif antérieur de 2028.

L’entreprise reconvertit l’installation Kenai LNG afin de répondre à la demande du Railbelt en Alaska, un marché clé de l’électricité et du gaz dans l’État, qui s’appuie depuis longtemps sur des infrastructures réparties dans un environnement d’exploitation difficile.

Ce changement de calendrier ajoute une année supplémentaire à un projet destiné à rétablir les flux de GNL dans un terminal resté inutilisé pendant des années, soulignant les délais importants nécessaires pour remettre en service des infrastructures énergétiques retirées du service.
