Litecoin now has close to 8.9 million addresses holding a balance
Explorer data puts the count at 8,916,460, with 144,949 transactions confirmed in the past day and 409,313,865 recorded since the @litecoin launched in 2011.
The Foundation (@LTCFoundation) points to the spread of balance-holding addresses as the mark of a payment network rather than a trading venue. The count has climbed steadily since 2017 and sits near its all-time high.
