Bitwise CIO: Hyperliquid Is Changing How DeFi Tokens Are Valued
Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan @Matt_Hougan said in a July 30 interview with Cointelegraph that DeFi tokens are undergoing an important shift: project revenue is beginning to flow back to token holders. He cited Hyperliquid, which uses 99% of its platform revenue to buy back its token, noting that the market is rewarding this model. Meanwhile, Uniswap is increasing value capture for UNI, Aave has eliminated the separation between equity and its token, and Morpho and Chainlink are also improving their tokenomics. Hougan believes the market has yet to fully reprice these changes, leaving some assets at relatively low valuations.
