Is 12 Year Old Bitcoin Supply About To Hit The Market?
A Bitcoin wallet (14vMEC) sitting on a potential 7,975% return, moved 26.96 bitcoin:native after 12.5 years of inactivity.
The address first received BTC in January 2014, when coins traded under $1,000. The sweep happened in block 961845 at 07:03 UTC on August 10.
Galaxy flagged the transfer on X but did not confirm a sale. The coins landed in a fresh address.
This is not an isolated case. A separate wallet holding 49.97 BTC since 2011 moved funds just last week after 14 years of inactivity. That address sent coins to a FalconX labeled wallet, according to Arkham Intelligence.
