Zerion to Provide Day-One API Support for Circle’s Arc Mainnet

Author: CryptoBriefing·

Key Takeaways

  • Zerion announced Arc API support on September 11, five days before Arc’s scheduled mainnet launch.
  • Existing Zerion users will receive Arc data through current infrastructure without migration, new endpoints, or rewritten connectors.
  • Arc will use USDC for transaction fees and target stablecoin-based payments and asset-tokenization applications.
  • BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard are among the institutions operating validators on Arc, which uses Malachite BFT consensus for sub-second finality.
  • Aave, Morpho, and Uniswap are expected to integrate with Arc at launch, while its permissioned architecture may limit open-ended DeFi innovation.
Zerion to Provide Day-One API Support for Circle’s Arc Mainnet

Zerion will provide immediate API support for Arc, Circle’s stablecoin-focused blockchain, when the network’s mainnet goes live on September 16, 2026. Developers already connected to Zerion’s infrastructure will be able to access data from the new chain without changing their existing code.

Zerion’s Arc API support

The integration covers the core tools developers use to build applications ranging from portfolio trackers to full-scale DeFi dashboards. Token balances, historical transaction data, and webhook-based notifications will be available when Arc’s mainnet launches.

For existing Zerion integrators, the process is designed to be seamless. Developers already querying Zerion’s API across its supported networks will receive Arc data through the same infrastructure, with no migration, new endpoints, or rewritten data connectors required.

Zerion currently supports more than 40 EVM-compatible chains as well as Solana. The company announced the Arc integration on September 11, five days before the blockchain’s scheduled mainnet launch.

Arc targets stablecoin-based financial applications

Built by Circle, Arc is designed for stablecoin-native financial applications rather than as another general-purpose smart contract platform. Its intended use cases include payments infrastructure and asset tokenization.

One of Arc’s defining features is that USDC will serve as its native gas token. Users will pay transaction fees in the dollar-pegged stablecoin instead of using a potentially volatile asset.

Arc uses the Malachite BFT consensus mechanism to achieve sub-second finality. Its validator network includes BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard among the institutions operating validators on the chain.

The network’s public testnet has been running since October 2025, giving developers nearly a year to test the platform before the mainnet launch. Aave, Morpho, and Uniswap are all expected to have integrations ready when Arc goes live.

Institutional DeFi infrastructure

The expected presence of Aave, Morpho, and Uniswap at launch places established DeFi protocols on Arc from the outset. Together, the protocols handle billions of dollars in value across other chains, and their planned deployments indicate that supporting Arc is considered worthwhile based on its potential economics and user base.

Arc’s permissioned architecture could, however, limit the type of permissionless innovation that has historically contributed to the development of DeFi. A validator set selected by Circle may help attract institutional liquidity while potentially discouraging developers who prefer more open environments.
