XRP Price Flashes Buy Signal as Large Wallets Hold 46.87B Tokens

XRP wallets holding at least 10 million tokens now control 46.87 billion XRP, equivalent to 68.5% of the supply tracked by Santiment. That is the group’s highest share since November 2022. At the same time, XRP’s three-day chart has produced a new TD Sequential buy signal, while Ripple has announced new banking and custody developments.

Large XRP Wallets Reach Highest Supply Share Since 2022

Santiment reported that addresses holding 10 million XRP or more increased their combined balances despite recent weakness in the token’s price. The group now controls 46.87 billion XRP, and its share of tracked supply has risen steadily over recent months. XRP was trading near $1.29 when Santiment released the figures on October 26. The firm’s report is available in a post on X.

The data measures wallet balances rather than the identities of individual investors. One institution may operate multiple wallets, while exchanges and custodians may hold tokens on behalf of many customers.

Supply concentration among the largest addresses is one of the metrics on-chain analysts track most closely, since it shows how much of a token’s circulating supply sits with a small number of holdings and whether that distribution is widening or narrowing over time.

Santiment identified $1.30 as an immediate price level to monitor and $1.50 as a higher threshold associated with a potential recovery. The analytics firm also cited $1.20 as a support level while balances held by large wallets remain elevated.

Three-Day TD Sequential Signal Puts $1.25 Support in Focus

A new TD Sequential buy signal has appeared on XRP’s three-day price chart. TD Sequential, a timing indicator developed by market technician Tom DeMark, counts consecutive candles that meet defined price-comparison conditions, and a completed nine-count is conventionally read as a point where the prevailing trend may be losing momentum. Analyst Ali Martinez identified the latest nine-count reading after three earlier signals were followed by price rebounds of 31.26%, 24.38% and 18.65%. Martinez discussed the reading in a post on X.

The earlier moves occurred at different points during 2026 and do not establish the outcome of the latest signal. The latest chart places XRP near $1.299, below the levels reached during its earlier October trading.

Martinez identified $1.25 as the immediate support threshold. If that level holds, XRP could test $1.40, while a breakdown could bring $0.98 into view. The next price move has not confirmed either scenario.

XRP also faces several resistance levels on its daily chart. The 100-day exponential moving average is near $1.33, followed by the 50-day average at about $1.36 and the 200-day average near $1.37. The SuperTrend indicator is around $1.45. Each of these levels remains above the current market price despite the three-day buy signal.

Ripple Receives Final OCC Approval for National Trust Bank

Ripple announced on October 26 that the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency had granted final approval to charter Ripple National Trust Bank. The regulator had granted conditional approval in December 2025. Ripple published the announcement in its official statement.

The OCC is the US regulator responsible for chartering and supervising national banks, and a federal trust charter places an institution under a single national supervisory framework. Digital asset firms have increasingly pursued charters of this kind as a route to offering regulated custody and fiduciary services to institutional clients.

The national trust bank will operate under federal supervision as Ripple develops services for institutional digital assets. Its approved activities include managing reserves for RLUSD and acting as collateral trustee for stablecoin holders. Ripple also plans to provide fiduciary digital asset custody services through the bank once operations begin.

Standard Custody & Trust Company, a New York-regulated entity, will continue issuing RLUSD. Ripple reported that the stablecoin had reached approximately $2.5 billion in market capitalization.

Ripple and BNY Expand Collaboration to XRP Custody

Ripple and BNY announced an expanded collaboration on October 27 covering digital asset custody and tokenized trade finance. BNY already serves as the primary reserve custodian for RLUSD and maintains a custody relationship with Ripple Prime. Its Digital Asset Custody platform now supports XRP and RLUSD for eligible institutional clients. BNY announced the development in a post on X.

BNY ranks among the largest custody banks in traditional finance, and extending a platform of that scale to XRP and RLUSD places the tokens within the kind of custodial infrastructure traditionally used by institutional investors.

The companies plan to extend custody support to tokenized assets and investment products issued on the XRP Ledger. They also intend to enable BNY clients to mint and redeem RLUSD directly through BNY. The proposed services would cover asset transfers, settlement and collateral management.

Ripple and BNY are also exploring tokenized trade finance with C2FO, a working-capital platform. Their initial work focuses on supply-chain finance and the digital representation of approved receivables on the XRP Ledger.

Taken together, the on-chain data, the chart setup and the regulatory milestones outline the current landscape around XRP: large-holder positioning and defined technical levels on the market side, alongside expanding federal oversight and institutional custody on the infrastructure side.
