A 29-year-old woman who says she was assaulted by a mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters — and then mocked over her weight by the president himself — is now firing back, pointing to Trump’s well-documented love of fast food.

The woman, identified as Blake, says she was attacked in Youngstown, Ohio, on October 12 after she denounced Trump as a “fascist” while wearing a do-it-yourself “release the Epstein files” T-shirt — a reference to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender, whose case files have been the subject of sustained public demands for release. According to her account, three men grabbed her, hit her and pulled her hair as her cries for help were ignored, and she was forcibly removed from the area.

Speaking to PunchUp, the Daily Beast’s sister Substack, Blake said the president’s taunts carry a pointed irony given his own diet. “I wasn’t surprised by Trump making fun of my weight or misgendering me. He has a history of being the most egregious person he can be and not having any repercussions for his actions,” she said, noting that the 80-year-old president has mounting health issues. “He even said that we all could lose some weight, or something to that effect, because he too is not in ‘peak health’ and has never been, when his favorite place to eat is McDonald’s.”

Blake described the ordeal as deeply unsettling. “This has been a really scary experience for me, but also living here in America under Trump has been scary,” she said, adding that she left the encounter feeling “shell-shocked” and “intimidated.” “The president of the ‘free’ world mocking me makes me feel many things. It makes me think about how weak and pathetic of a man he is that he has to consistently punch down on women, instead of trying to uplift others. He is a disgrace to the title of president because he is not; he is a dictator,” she said.

The back-and-forth illustrates how an altercation at a Trump political event can extend well beyond the event itself, as the president’s personal attacks on an individual critic — and the critic’s response — become part of the same running story.

Trump’s affinity for McDonald’s is long-standing and loudly publicized. He has served the chain’s menu items to White House visitors and handed out McDonald’s to first responders, including a January 2019 White House reception for the national champion Clemson Tigers football team that he catered with a fast-food spread during a government shutdown. According to an October 2025 podcast interview with Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters, the president continues to rotate through his McDonald’s favorites: fries, a Filet-O-Fish sandwich, a Quarter Pounder and a Big Mac.

Beyond McDonald’s, Trump is also reportedly fond of other comfort foods, including Kentucky Fried Chicken and pizza, typically washed down with a Diet Coke.

The president, an admitted germaphobe, has said he favors McDonald’s because of the chain’s reliability on cleanliness. “I’m a very clean person. I like cleanliness,” he said, as reported by PEOPLE. “And I think you’re better off going there than someplace that you maybe have no idea where the food is coming from. It’s a certain standard. But I think the food is good.”
