Wall Street's crypto push is increasingly looking like far more than a Bitcoin trade.
FTSE Russell, one of the world's largest index providers behind benchmarks tracked by trillions of dollars in funds, and 21Shares announced a global benchmark partnership last week covering crypto investment products across the U.S., Europe, and Australia. Benchmark coverage matters because it can make exchange-traded products easier for institutional mandates to hold and compare. In the U.S., the lineup extends beyond Bitcoin to include Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Sui, Dogecoin, and Polkadot, while 21Shares says global crypto ETF and ETP assets have now surpassed $106 billion.
The institutional infrastructure around those assets is expanding as well. BitGo agreed on Thursday to acquire NYDIG's institutional trading business, strengthening its offering for professional crypto investors, part of a broader pattern of consolidation as custody, execution, and trading services scale to meet demand from asset managers and other professional clients. Meanwhile, the UK government wants to give the Bank of England an additional objective to support innovation in payments and digital settlement assets, including stablecoins, adding regulatory clarity to a market where stablecoins already settle a large share of on-chain transaction value.
Crypto's investable universe is broadening beyond BTC, while infrastructure, payments, consumer applications, and even meme coins are finding increasingly distinct markets. Four presales take those trends in very different directions and appear positioned to enter the next bull run with large communities and ideas that could work: Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER), LiquidChain (LIQUID), Maxi Doge (MAXI), and SUBBD (SUBBD).
Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER): Taking Bitcoin Beyond Wall Street's Portfolio
Institutional investors have found increasingly easy ways to own Bitcoin. Bitcoin Hyper is focused on what happens when that BTC becomes easier to use.
Its Layer 2 pairs Bitcoin with a Solana Virtual Machine-compatible execution environment, moving transactions that need near-instant settlement away from Bitcoin's main chain, which processes roughly seven transactions per second. The Layer 2 approach mirrors a well-established pattern in crypto: Ethereum's scaling challenges spawned an entire ecosystem of rollups, and comparable efforts for Bitcoin have grown as its usage expands. BTC can then be used for real-world payments, trading, lending, and other applications, with Bitcoin retained as the underlying settlement layer.

That becomes increasingly relevant as more capital enters Bitcoin – owning BTC solves the investment problem, but it does little to make Bitcoin work at a supermarket register or inside a fast on-chain application.
HYPER is used within Layer 2 as its gas token and also supports staking and governance. The presale has already raised $33 million, with HYPER priced at $0.01368 and staking offering 35% APY. Its contracts have undergone audits from Coinsult and SpyWolf.
If institutional adoption represents Bitcoin's arrival as an established asset, HYPER is making a bet on the next stage: turning that value into usable money.
LiquidChain (LIQUID): Building for a Market With Several Winners
The latest 21Shares lineup is notable for another reason: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana now sit alongside one another within an increasingly mature institutional investment infrastructure.
LiquidChain (LIQUID) assumes those ecosystems will continue growing together rather than one eventually eliminating the others. Its Layer 3 uses a cross-chain virtual machine and proof system to verify state across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana within a shared execution environment. Interoperability has been a persistent challenge in crypto, and cross-chain bridges have historically been a frequent target of exploits, making the security model of any multi-chain design a key question for developers and users. In practical terms, developers can build applications that reach users and liquidity across all three without maintaining three completely separate products.
For DEXs and lending platforms, that means deeper liquidity, which can translate into better pricing and larger usable markets. It also gives developers access to Bitcoin capital, Ethereum DeFi, and Solana users through one protocol – no more coding three times and then maintaining that code.
LIQUID is priced at $0.0149, with $952,000 raised as the presale approaches $1 million. Staking currently offers 1,190% APY, while SpyWolf and CertiK have reviewed the project. Mainnet development and eventual exchange listings provide the next tests. If crypto continues becoming a market of several chains, LiquidChain hooks them into one ocean of liquidity.
Maxi Doge (MAXI): Even Wall Street Has Discovered Dogecoin
Perhaps nothing illustrates crypto's widening institutional market quite like Dogecoin now having a U.S.-listed 21Shares ETF among the products moving to FTSE Russell benchmarks. Dogecoin began in 2013 as a joke based on a Shiba Inu meme, and its journey to benchmark-covered institutional products traces how far crypto's investable universe has widened.
Maxi Doge (MAXI) is targeting the more fitness-focused end of crypto, combining meme coin culture with gym life and high-intensity trading. Its roadmap includes competitions and tournaments for holders, trading performance rewards, and planned partner events with futures platforms.
That gives the community something to participate in after MAXI reaches public markets, rather than relying entirely on another Shiba Inu mascot.

The idea has already raised $4.84 million, an unusually large presale total for a meme coin still awaiting exchange listings. MAXI costs $0.00028, and staking offers 64% APY, with audits from SolidProof and Coinsult.
Traditional finance may be making crypto more respectable, but speculative communities can still create markets of their own. MAXI is built unapologetically for that audience.
SUBBD (SUBBD): Taking Crypto Into the Creator Economy
SUBBD (SUBBD) looks outside financial markets altogether, with an AI-powered creator platform where the token supports subscriptions, tipping, exclusive content, discounts, and other interactions between creators and fans.
Its AI tools are designed to handle practical aspects of the job, including image generation, voice cloning, AI influencers, and assistants that help creators manage routine audience interactions. The project is already connected with more than 2,000 creators representing a combined audience of over 250 million.
SUBBD has raised $1.58 million at a current token price of $0.05766, while staking offers 20% APY. SolidProof and Coinsult have audited their contracts.
There is also plenty left on the roadmap – the project plans to move from presale into its token generation event and decentralized exchange trading, beginning with Uniswap, followed by broader centralized exchange listings and continued rollout of its creator platform.
That gives SUBBD a different route to adoption: making crypto useful within an industry where people already pay creators directly every day, sidestepping the need to first convert users into crypto investors.
Wall Street's Crypto Market Is Getting Much Bigger
Bitcoin remains the asset that brought much of traditional finance into crypto, but it is increasingly no longer where the story ends. Institutional products now span everything from Solana and XRP to Dogecoin, while trading, custody, payments, and tokenized financial infrastructure continue to develop around them.
HYPER, LIQUID, MAXI, and SUBBD each look further ahead. Bitcoin Hyper focuses on making BTC usable; LiquidChain connects several major blockchain economies; Maxi Doge targets crypto's speculative communities; and SUBBD brings tokens and AI into the creator economy.
The next phase of adoption may be less about finding another Bitcoin and more about finding what people actually need.
