VinFast Philippines has officially moved beyond the four-wheeler market, unveiling three electric motorcycle models in the country. The debut lineup — sourced directly from the company's manufacturing facility in Haiphong, Vietnam — consists of the Viper, Evo, and Feliz II, each designed to address different segments of the market, according to VinFast e-Motorcycle Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ireneo Fabros. The move marks a significant step in parent company Vingroup's broader international expansion, extending VinFast's electric two-wheeler footprint beyond its domestic Vietnamese base into one of Southeast Asia's largest motorcycle markets.

The VinFast Viper offers the sportiest styling of the three. As the largest e-scooter in the local VinFast lineup, it features sharp, angular design elements and a smart keyless start function — the premium feature of the range. It is powered by an electric motor paired with either one or two 1.5-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, reaching a top speed of 90 kph and a range of up to 145 kilometers. Pricing ranges from P73,900 to P99,300, depending on the package, which includes options for battery subscription or ownership of one or two battery packs.

The VinFast Evo is positioned as a classic-inspired model, featuring a fluid silhouette and round headlamp aimed at riders drawn to retro aesthetics who also want sustainable mobility. With a two-battery configuration, the Evo can deliver a range of up to 150 km. It is priced from P62,900 to P88,300.

The VinFast Feliz II is tailored for everyday commuting, combining sleek lines with flowing curves. It shares the same electric powertrain as the Viper, achieving a top speed of 90 kph and a range of up to 145 km when equipped with two battery packs.

In an interview, Mr. Fabros said the company aims to become the country's leading motorcycle brand by overtaking the sales volumes of distributors selling internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered motorcycles. He noted that approximately 70% of the two million motorcycles sold in the Philippines last year were automatic transmission models — a figure that underscores the scale of the opportunity, as the country ranks among the largest two-wheeler markets in Southeast Asia, where motorcycles serve as a primary mode of daily transport for millions.

“Our target is to convert ICE motorcycle users to electric vehicles,” Mr. Fabros said. He expressed confidence in this objective, revealing that the company has already received “thousands” of reservations since opening order books in June. The push comes as the Philippine government, through the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), has been working to accelerate EV adoption across transport segments, creating a more favorable policy environment for entrants like VinFast.

The three models are currently on display across 21 newly opened VinFast showrooms nationwide, with additional locations expected to open in the coming months.

To address consumer concerns over battery usage and compatibility, VinFast e-Motorcycle Philippines has begun deploying battery-swapping stations and plans to establish as many as 30,000 nationwide. These stations are intended to complement the brand's home-charging solutions and provide the infrastructure needed to support widespread electric motorcycle adoption. Battery swapping has emerged as a practical charging model for two-wheelers in dense urban markets across Asia, where home charging access can be limited.

“Opening 21 VinFast showrooms alongside the launch of our three electric motorcycle models reflects VinFast's long-term investment commitment to the Philippines. Beyond offering products that meet diverse mobility needs, we are building a comprehensive ecosystem that will make it easier for customers to access our vehicles, energy solutions, and support services throughout their ownership journey,” said VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market Managing Director Vo Thi Cam Tu.

“As our electric mobility ecosystem continues to expand, we believe electric motorcycles can become an increasingly practical and convenient choice in the everyday lives of Filipinos,” she added.
