US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded their strongest daily inflows in more than three weeks on Thursday, attracting $233.1 million in net inflows, according to SoSoValue data. The funds, which launched in January 2024 and have collectively accumulated tens of billions in assets under management, remain a key vehicle for institutional and retail exposure to Bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the gains with $183.4 million in net inflows, accounting for 78.7% of the day's total. Bitwise's BITB attracted $20.7 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC with $15.5 million, while several other funds posted smaller inflows.
The Thursday inflows pushed Bitcoin ETFs back into positive territory for the week, bringing their net weekly inflows to $203.84 million. Barring a net outflow exceeding that figure on Friday, the funds are positioned to close their fourth consecutive week in the green.
July is also on track to end positively, sitting $437.8 million in the green after Thursday's inflows. This would snap a two-month streak of multibillion-dollar outflows that weighed on the funds through May and June, a period that coincided with large-scale Bitcoin sales by the German government from seized holdings and the commencement of Mt. Gox creditor repayments, both of which added selling pressure across crypto markets.
Bitcoin traded at $64,338 at the time of writing, down 1.8% over the past week, according to CoinGecko.
Meanwhile, spot Ether ETFs logged $13.3 million in net inflows on Thursday. The funds, which began trading in the United States in July 2024, recorded losses in just five trading sessions throughout July, an improvement over June, when they posted net inflows on only four trading days.
Ether traded at $1,905 at the time of writing.
