Four brands of Universal Robina Corp. (URC) — whose portfolio spans coffee, tea, snacks and noodles — have been included in the 2026 Brand Footprint report by Worldpanel by Numerator, with ready-to-drink tea brand C2 posting an 11% increase in consumer reach points (CRP).
The annual study ranks fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands on CRP, a metric that measures how many households buy a brand and how frequently they purchase it. Because it counts actual buying behavior rather than sales value alone, the ranking serves as a gauge of how deeply everyday brands are embedded in Filipino household shopping. According to URC, Great Taste, C2, Pios and Nissin Noodles all made the latest rankings.
Great Taste placed fourth among beverage brands with 317 million CRP. The coffee brand reached 66% of Philippine households — roughly two out of three — and ranked 14th among all FMCG brands.
C2 ranked 14th among beverage brands with 37 million CRP, up from 33 million in the previous edition of the report. Household penetration for the tea brand stood at 29%.
Worldpanel recorded a 38% increase in C2's CRP in discount stores, a 24% increase in hypermarkets and supermarkets, and a 7% increase in mom-and-pop stores (sari-sari stores). The channel breakdown shows where household buying shifted during the period. URC said larger pack sizes helped support at-home consumption.
Piattos ranked eighth among food brands with 180 million CRP, unchanged from the previous report. The snack brand reached about 73% of Philippine households. Its penetration in discounters rose to 5.4% from 2.7%, while it also broadened its reach through mom-and-pop stores, hypermarkets and supermarkets.
Nissin Noodles took 14th place among food brands with 104 million CRP, up from 101 million previously. Household penetration reached 51%. The report attributed the brand's performance to at-home consumption and promotions centered on snacking, cravings and convenience.
"When growth is harder to find, penetration has been the key lever that got the brand winners through," Worldpanel by Numerator Strategic Insights Director Mieke Bartholomeus said. She added that brands could expand their household reach by attracting more shoppers and increasing product availability across retail channels — guidance anchored in the same channel-level shifts reflected in this year's rankings, and a benchmark to track again when the next annual edition is released.
URC shares fell 0.84% to P59.25 apiece.
