Key Takeaways

  • •Uniswap recorded 2,295 new UNI wallets in one day, its highest daily network growth since November 2022, according to Santiment.
  • •Uniswap launched Aggregator Hooks, which route external liquidity into v4 pools across Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain, with seven external sources live at launch covering more than 90% of decentralized exchange activity on those chains.
  • •External liquidity sources routed through Aggregator Hooks pay protocol fees that contribute to UNI burning, permanently removing tokens from supply.
  • •Santiment identified $7 as the key downside level for UNI, stating that holding it while wallet creation stays above its recent baseline could support another test of $8.
  • •Analyst Giannis Andreou mapped successive resistance zones UNI must reclaim, including 8–8.50 and a break above $20, for a potential move toward $40.
Uniswap Wallet Growth Hits Four-Year High as Analyst Maps UNI's Path Toward $40

Uniswap recorded 2,295 new UNI wallets in a single day, its highest network growth since November 2022, when digital-asset markets were deep in that year's downturn, according to on-chain analytics firm Santiment. The increase in new addresses coincides with the rollout of Aggregator Hooks, a feature that routes external liquidity into Uniswap's v4 pools across Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain. Separately, analyst Giannis Andreou has outlined the resistance levels UNI would need to reclaim to support a potential recovery toward $40.

New Wallets Rise as Uniswap Expands Liquidity Routing

Santiment said network growth measures the number of new addresses interacting with UNI for the first time. Because a single participant can control multiple addresses, analysts typically read the metric against its recent baseline rather than as a direct count of new users. The firm identified $7 as the key downside level and $7.50 as the first meaningful recovery level to watch.

According to Santiment, UNI holding the $7 level while wallet creation remains above its recent baseline could support another test of $8. Conversely, a loss of $7 accompanied by declining wallet creation would indicate that the rise in new addresses reflected short-term activity rather than sustained adoption.

The wallet growth data arrived alongside Uniswap's launch of Aggregator Hooks, which connect external liquidity sources to the protocol's v4 pools. The feature is available through the Uniswap Web App and API on Ethereum mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain. Seven external sources were live at launch, covering more than 90% of decentralized exchange activity across those chains — breadth that lets users reach most decentralized trading on those networks from within Uniswap's interface. Uniswap also said its protocol has processed more than $4.5 trillion in swaps.

Aggregator Hooks Bring External Liquidity Into Uniswap v4

Each Aggregator Hook wraps an external liquidity source as a Uniswap v4 pool. Hooks are the programmable contracts that give v4 pools their customization, and Uniswap is using them here to fold outside venues into its native routing. Routers retrieve updated quotes every block and then select routes across Uniswap pools and the connected external sources. The resulting swap settles in a single transaction without requiring additional approvals.

External liquidity sources routed through Aggregator Hooks also pay protocol fees, which contribute to UNI burning — the practice of sending tokens to an unrecoverable address so they are permanently removed from supply. Routing trades across multiple venues has become standard practice in decentralized finance, and by pulling outside liquidity into its own routing layer, Uniswap keeps both the settlement and the fees attached to it inside its protocol. Users can access the routing through the Uniswap Web App, while developers can integrate it via the API. The feature currently supports Ethereum mainnet, Base — Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 network — and Robinhood Chain.

Analyst Maps UNI's Potential Path Toward $40

In a separate analysis, Giannis Andreou said UNI, the governance token of the Uniswap protocol, has moved above a trendline connecting its 2021 and 2024 highs. He identified the 6.50–7.20 range as the zone UNI needs to hold to maintain the recovery setup. Reclaiming 8–8.50 would bring 10–12 into focus, followed by 14–16 and then 18–20n
A break above $20 could expose historical supply between $25 and $30, ahead of a potential move toward 37–40, according to Andreou. He noted that the $40 scenario requires those resistance levels to flip into support. A weekly close below $6.50, followed by a failed reclaim of that zone, would weaken the setup toward 5–5.50.
