President Donald Trump appeared to single out the wife of Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed on Saturday, as part of a social media blitz in which he published 17 posts on Truth Social in under two hours.

In one post on Truth Social, Trump shared an image juxtaposing himself and First Lady Melania Trump with El-Sayed and his wife, Sarah Jukaku. The image carries the caption "Two VERY DIFFERENT America's," portraying Trump and Mrs. Trump in formal attire while Jukaku is shown wearing a traditional Islamic headscarf. The post also uses El-Sayed's full name — Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed — echoing the pattern Trump has employed when referring to former President Barack Obama as Barack Hussein Obama.

El-Sayed, a physician and former Detroit health commissioner who ran for Michigan governor in the 2018 Democratic primary, is now his party's nominee for the U.S. Senate. His campaign has centered on healthcare access and economic policy. Sarah Jukaku, his wife, has appeared alongside him during his campaign.

During the same posting spree, Trump shared two images of what he has claimed is vandalism at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. He has made the assertion repeatedly without providing evidence, and a prosecutor he appointed has since stated the claim is not accurate.

Trump additionally posted three images of his proposed "Drone Port," which he has said will be built atop the White House Ballroom currently under construction. Other posts in the burst touted his golf clubs and statue renovation projects.

Saturday's activity aligns with a broader pattern that has characterized Trump's second term. A Financial Times analysis found that Trump averaged 19 Truth Social posts per day during the first several months of 2026. A separate Daily Beast analysis recorded his May output at 861 posts and reposts — approximately 27 per day. His posting has periodically surged into concentrated late-night bursts, including a December 2025 stretch during which he published 158 times between 9 p.m. and midnight.

The targeting of El-Sayed's spouse and religious identity comes amid a competitive Senate landscape in which both parties have focused intensively on swing-state races, and it illustrates how Trump's social media output increasingly doubles as a messaging tool directed at specific candidates and their families rather than solely at broader policy debates.
