President Donald Trump's striking new hairstyle has ignited a viral trend on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, with users generating a flood of AI-created "Trump hair memes."

The trend underscores how accessible generative AI tools have become for everyday social media users, allowing anyone with a prompt to produce photorealistic images and videos of public figures within minutes — a dynamic that is rapidly reshaping how political moments are processed and lampooned online.

Trump's noticeably different appearance this week — which prompted speculation about wigs and drew comparisons to hamsters — has fueled a wave of artificial intelligence-generated artwork sweeping across the platform.

"Big Hair Trump is a whole vibe," wrote X user Brandi with an A. Her video depicts a Trump adorned with voluminous locks, wearing a grey hoodie and drinking cranberry juice straight from the bottle while Fleetwood Mac plays in the background.

"You say you want your freedom?" Stevie Nicks sings. "Well who am I to keep you down?"

X user Chad Ledger posted a video featuring members of Trump's inner circle, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance. The men are shown wearing pastel suits and towering mullets that appear to rise nearly a foot above their heads.

"Effective immediately everybody gets the hair — it's mandatory," Trump says in the clip.

"Sir," replies a saddened Secretary of State Marco Rubio, "They're still trolling the Vegas hair."

"They're jealous, Marco," Trump responds. "Very jealous."

Vance appears again in a separate segment with a stately mane, giving an interview on Fox News as the Bee Gees' "Staying Alive" plays in the background.

X user MAGADevilDog claimed credit for originating the trend.

"This was my response to Shri Thanedar trying to be like Trump and say 'everyone is talking about my hair, my looks, my business dealings, my everything,'" the user wrote, referring to the Democratic congressman from Michigan. "I laughed so hard at this, it evolved from there. The timing was perfect because the liberals were simultaneously melting down over how majestic President Trump's hair looked during yesterday's speech."
