The brokerage accounts are held by The Trump Organization. According to the company, the trades are selected by third-party institutions and neither Trump nor his family has any involvement.

Trump, unlike former presidents, never placed his portfolio in a blind trust, meaning he can see what his managers buy and sell, Cryptopolitan reported. Predecessors have used such arrangements: Jimmy Carter placed his family's peanut farm in a blind trust in 1977, and the trustees sold it to avoid conflicts of interest. In July, the outlet reported that at least 44 purchases were made across 21 companies about a week before Trump praised a firm or its products.

August was slower than previous months, which often saw more than 1,000 trades. His disclosures now encompass more than 9,200 transactions from January through August. US presidents can buy sell stocks while in office, provided they report the trades. The chip-export debate remains open, and future filings will continue to extend the disclosed record.
