Tokenized Equity Holders Reach Record 766K, Up 93% in 30 Days
Key Takeaways
- •Tokenized stock holders grew roughly 93% over 30 days to 766,366 wallets and approximately 527% since the beginning of 2025.
- •Robinhood Chain, launched less than a month ago, accounts for 268,162 holders across 15 of the top 25 tokens by holder count.
- •NVIDIA's tokenized versions span three separate issuers with a combined 112,959 holders, highlighting that wallet-based counts may not represent unique investors.
- •SpaceX retains approximately 37,000 tokenized holders across two issuers despite the company having listed on Nasdaq under ticker SPCX on June 12.
- •While holder counts nearly doubled, distributed value rose only 16.06% to $1.87 billion and monthly transfer volume declined 31.53% to $6.12 billion, indicating thinner positions and reduced activity per wallet.

The number of tokenized stock holders — wallets holding blockchain-based tokens that represent ownership in traditional equities — has climbed to 766,366, according to data from rwa.xyz. The sector has experienced rapid expansion throughout July in particular, with holder counts rising sharply on a daily basis.
Over the past 30 days, tokenized stock holders grew from approximately 396,000 to the current level, representing a roughly 93% increase. Viewed over a longer timeframe, the trajectory is even more pronounced: tokenized stock asset holders have grown approximately 527% since the start of the year. The figures place tokenized equities among the fastest-growing segments within the broader real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market, which encompasses tokenized treasuries, private credit, commodities, and other traditional financial instruments brought on-chain.
Robinhood Chain Drives the Surge
The growth observed over the last 30 days can be traced primarily to a single source and issuer. Following the launch of Robinhood Chain, tokens issued on the platform now occupy 15 of the top 25 spots by holder count in less than a month. Robinhood Chain represents the retail brokerage's entry into blockchain-based token issuance, extending its equities distribution capabilities onto a dedicated chain.
Those 15 tokens collectively account for 268,162 holders, representing 55% of the top 25 and just over a third of the entire holder base.
Among the Robinhood-issued tokens, NVIDIA leads with 30,145 holders, followed by Apple at 27,707, SpaceX at 26,211, Alphabet Class A at 23,268, and Tesla at 21,151. The remaining ten range from AMD at 18,195 down to CoreWeave at 10,622.
One Stock, Multiple Tokens, Overlapping Holders
NVIDIA illustrates a structural issue in how holder counts are measured. The stock appears as xStock with 63,342 holders, as a Robinhood token with 30,145 holders, and as an Ondo version with 19,472 holders. Combined, that totals 112,959 holders of the same underlying stock across three different issuers — close to 15% of the entire list.
Similarly, Tesla has 64,548 holders split across the same three issuers, while Apple and Alphabet each have tokenized versions from two issuers.
The dataset does not indicate whether individual traders are counted multiple times. A wallet holding NVIDIA via Robinhood and another holding it through xStock are registered as separate entries, and the data provides no mechanism to distinguish between them. This limitation is inherent to on-chain analytics, where holder counts reflect wallet addresses rather than verified unique individuals — meaning a single user operating multiple wallets across different issuers would be counted more than once.
SpaceX Tokenized Demand Persists Post-Listing
Holder concentration extends beyond the duplication issue. NVIDIA, Tesla, Apple, Alphabet, and SpaceX together account for 299,429 holders, or 39% of the total base.
Index-based tokenized products show comparatively modest adoption. SP500 xStock sits at 26,493 holders and Nasdaq xStock at 10,507, a combined figure that falls below 5% of the total.
SpaceX stands out as a notable case. Its tokenized versions were originally created when the company's shares were inaccessible to most investors. The company subsequently listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX on June 12. Yet across two issuers, the tokenized versions still hold approximately 37,000 holders — more than the combined total of all SP500 and Nasdaq xStock holders. On Robinhood's platform alone, SpaceX sits at 26,211 holders, ahead of Microsoft at 15,332, Amazon at 17,567, and Meta at 14,794.
Divergent Metrics Signal Uneven Market Development
Supporting data points reveal a more complex picture. Distributed value currently stands at $1.87 billion, up 16.06% over the same 30-day period in which the holder count nearly doubled. Meanwhile, monthly transfer volume declined 31.53% to $6.12 billion.
This translates to more wallets holding thinner positions with less activity across them. Whether future growth arrives alongside rising volume and larger average positions, or continues in the current pattern of brokerage signups distributed across duplicate versions of the same handful of names, will determine whether the holder count metric accurately reflects the state of the tokenized equities market. The divergence also raises a question relevant to the broader RWA sector: whether headline adoption metrics based on wallet counts can serve as reliable indicators of market depth, or whether metrics such as distributed value, transfer volume, and unique user identification will need to mature alongside raw holder growth.
