SU Group Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: SUGP) announced two transactions on September 15, 2026, while its shares were trading approximately 19% higher.
The first announcement was an exclusive distribution agreement with HDX for the TRACELINE PX3 Portable X-Ray System in Hong Kong and Macau. The agreement gives SU Group an entry into the industrial inspection segment in those markets, which the company had not previously targeted directly.
The TRACELINE PX3 is a portable imaging system designed for explosive ordnance disposal, fire investigation, technical surveillance counter-measures, and industrial non-destructive testing. It uses pulsed X-ray technology that, according to the company, reduces radiation exposure by more than 70% compared with continuous-source systems. The system has an IP54-rated design and combines digital radiography imaging with a pulsed X-ray source and digital image processing.
The HDX agreement is SU Group’s second international distribution deal in 2026. In June 2026, the company entered into a partnership with German firm GEZE.
Dave Chan, Chairman and CEO of SU Group, said the agreement “further strengthens our comprehensive solutions portfolio with a dedicated platform to compete in industrial markets.”
Acquisition of KM Safety Solution
Later on September 15, SU Group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SU Group Investment Limited, had agreed to acquire 100% of KM Safety Solution Company Limited from Lead New Limited.
KM Safety Solution provides safety consulting services and holds distribution rights in Hong Kong for intelligent emergency lighting control products. The distribution rights are governed by a 24-month agreement that began on July 22, 2026.
The acquisition is valued at HK$5.62 million and will be paid in cash. It remains subject to due diligence and regulatory approvals and must close by October 31, 2026. SU Group said completion is not guaranteed. The transaction’s stated near-term milestones are completion of due diligence, receipt of regulatory approvals, and closing by October 31, 2026.
According to the company, the acquisition is intended to broaden its technology-enabled safety and security offerings and reinforce its security engineering capabilities.
