Slash Financial, Inc., a banking platform built for modern businesses, has launched payment processing, enabling approved merchants that bank with Slash to accept debit and credit card payments from their customers. The feature is now available to qualifying users through two launch surfaces: native card acceptance within Slash Invoicing, and a Software Development Kit (SDK) for building custom web checkout and payment flows.
The company notes that the modern banking landscape frequently pushes businesses to stitch together a business account, cards, invoicing, payment processing, and accounting tools from separate providers. According to Slash, this fragmentation leads to an incomplete or piecemeal understanding of a business's financial health. The new payment processing capability brings the entire operational lifecycle of payments inside a business's Slash account, delivering a complete financial picture and greater operational control. For businesses that would otherwise handle card acceptance through a separate provider, the feature ties payments, fee breakdowns, refunds, and payouts directly to the account where their funds land and their spending happens.
Through the feature, approved merchants can create a Slash invoice, enable card payments, and view the entire customer payment flow. Merchants can also develop a custom checkout experience using the Slash SDK. Invoice payments and payments originating from the SDK appear in the same dashboard, and merchants can issue partial refunds, track processed funds into Slash accounts and business spend, and review a payment's fee breakdown along with its connection to the appropriate invoice or receivables context.
"Operating a business in today's environment requires complete visibility into the entire financial lifecycle," said Andy Jiang, Head of Product at Slash. "Slash payment processing is designed to help increase that visibility and fill one of the blind spots that so many businesses today face in a consumer landscape dominated by credit or debit card payments."
To power the underlying infrastructure, Slash is partnering with Whop on the launch of its payment processing feature. Whop will support merchant onboarding, payment execution, settlement, and other processor workflows. This division of responsibilities allows Slash to focus on the merchant-facing application, the payments dashboard, refunds, payouts, and other key elements of the merchant experience, delivering end-to-end payment acceptance without building every regulated layer of the card-processing stack from scratch.
"Each product and service that we launch is developed with the goal of becoming the financial operations system that businesses can rely on," said Victor Cardenas, co-founder and CEO of Slash. "Partnering with Whop enables us to deliver a reliable payment processing platform for our users that allows them to focus on running their business, and we are excited to see how this partnership unlocks true operational control for entrepreneurs and established businesses alike."
At launch, payment processing is initially available to businesses operating in e-commerce, telehealth, software, and service agencies in fields such as marketing, advertising, and consulting. Access is approval-based, so the feature's current footprint is limited to qualifying merchants in those categories, and Slash has not detailed a timeline for broader availability.
