The Shiba Inu community has received a fresh update on the state of its layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium, indicating that a recent chain reorganization — a situation in which the network must settle on a single version of its transaction history — has been resolved as the network's infrastructure migration progresses.

Mazrael, a longtime member of the Shiba Inu community, relayed an update from Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya on X, addressing a Shibarium reorg and migration. The development marks a significant step forward for the layer-2 network as its infrastructure overhaul continues.

According to the message Mazrael shared, Kaal confirmed that the Shibarium reorg has now been solved. The only remaining step, Mazrael said, is for DRPC to complete the same transition in the new environment. "Moving forward," Mazrael added.

Shiba Inu and Shibarium receive quiet improvements

In a September 15, 2026, X post, Mazrael informed Shibarium node operators of a peer rotation, as new Bor static-nodes and Heimdall persistent_peers were published and the old set became obsolete. Mazrael noted that the peer update was a full rotation rather than an addition, with the new IPs entirely different from the previous set. Since those peer lists define the direct connections a node forms, operators need to apply the new entries to maintain connectivity.

Earlier, the Shibarium RPC listing was refreshed in the ethereum-lists/chains registry, with updated connection details made available on Chainlist, the directory many users rely on to configure networks in their wallets. The refresh became necessary after Shibarium migrated its public RPC in November 2025 without the registry entry being updated, an omission that has now been addressed.

In a similar vein of upgrades to the Shiba Inu layer-2 network, the Shibarium explorer Shibariumscan reports an ongoing reindexing of the chain, with 53% of blocks currently indexed — a process that continues until the explorer's index covers the full chain history.

In a separate development within the Sh Inu ecosystem, the official shib.io website and the ShibaSwap page were moved to Cloudflare on September 12, 2026, with IPv6 support added to both, leaving the old host behind.
