ROBINSONS LAND CORP. (RLC), through its residential brand RLC Residences, has topped off Building 4 of Sierra Valley Gardens in Cainta, Rizal, marking the completion of structural work on the first building of the multi-building residential development. A topping-off traditionally marks the point when a building's frame reaches its final height, typically one of the last major construction milestones before a project moves toward completion.
The topping-off was held on July 30 as construction progresses within the 18-hectare Sierra Valley Destination Estate, the company said in a statement on Monday.
“With the milestone achieved, development continues to progress with the upcoming Building 5, as Sierra Valley Gardens takes further shape within the Sierra Valley Destination Estate,” RLC Residences said.
The company said the project is part of its broader development of the mixed-use estate, where food-and-beverage outlets, retail shops, a salon, gym, and laundry shop are already operating. Robinsons Land is the property arm of the Gokongwei-led JG Summit group and is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange.
A mall and a Shopwise store are also planned within the estate, it added.
At the topping-off ceremony, RLC Residences Senior Consultant Jose Rovie Cipriano said the milestone reflected the collective effort of the project’s architects, construction teams, and other partners.
“It symbolizes the heights we can reach when we work together,” he said.
“This building isn’t just steel and concrete. It’s a promise to our community. A promise of new jobs, of economic growth, of a brighter future for our children,” Mr. Cipriano added. “When we place this final beam, we’re not just topping out a building. We’re laying the cornerstone for the next chapter in our community’s story.”
RLC Residences Vice-President for Project Management Emmanuel Arce said the project is “integrated into a larger mixed-use community.”
He also cited the company’s mission of “providing quality products for the Filipino people.”
Sierra Valley Gardens is designed as a suburban residential community with access to Metro Manila business and lifestyle districts, including Ortigas Center and Bridgetowne — the latter itself an RLC-developed estate along the C5 corridor. Master-planned estates that combine homes, retail, and offices have become a flagship format for the Philippines' largest property developers, including Ayala Land, Inc., Megaworld Corp., and SM Prime Holdings, Inc., as they market live-work-play communities to homebuyers.
The development includes swimming pools, fitness and wellness spaces, recreation and gathering areas, smart home-ready units, and sustainable design features, according to the company. The statement did not disclose a turnover date for Building 4 units.
