REAL Finance Expands ASSET Access in Europe Through Kraken EU
Key Takeaways
- •REAL Finance has made ASSET available to eligible European Union users through Kraken EU.
- •ASSET was already tradable on Kraken, so the change expands regional access rather than introducing a new global listing.
- •REAL Finance is developing infrastructure for the issuance, management, distribution and settlement of tokenized financial products.
- •Wiener Privatbank, an Austrian bank regulated by the FMA, is part of REAL Finance’s European ecosystem and supports custody, reserve management, asset structuring and institutional distribution.
- •REAL Finance and its partners are targeting more than €3.5 billion in assets for tokenization through the ecosystem.

REAL Finance has expanded European access to its native ASSET token through Kraken EU, making the asset available to eligible users in the European Union.
The move adds another distribution channel for ASSET as REAL Finance develops infrastructure for institutional tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs).
ASSET is used across the REAL Finance network for transaction fees, staking, network security and onchain governance. The token was already available on Kraken, meaning the development expands access for eligible European users rather than representing a new global listing.
ASSET Expands Access Across Europe
REAL Finance, the Layer 1 network for institutional RWAs, is expanding ASSET availability as it develops a European ecosystem for bringing traditional financial assets onchain.
The network is designed to support the issuance, management, distribution and settlement of tokenized financial products, working with regulated financial institutions and financial infrastructure providers.
The project’s European ecosystem includes Wiener Privatbank, an Austrian bank regulated by the Financial Market Authority (FMA), which supports custody, reserve management, asset structuring and institutional distribution.
REAL Finance and its partners are targeting more than €3.5 billion in assets for tokenization through the ecosystem.
That target places the project in a growing segment of Europe’s digital-asset market, where tokenization efforts increasingly depend on links between blockchain infrastructure and established financial institutions rather than on token availability alone.
How Does REAL Finance Fit Into Europe’s RWA Market?
European financial institutions are increasingly examining blockchain infrastructure for tokenized financial markets.
On September 1, the London Stock Exchange announced a partnership with Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to explore tokenized public equities.
The initiative includes plans to bring the 100 largest London-listed companies onto Payward’s xStocks framework, while the LSE is also assessing how tokenized equities could trade through its planned LSE 24 venue, subject to regulatory approval.
The developments point to increasing connections between digital-asset platforms, blockchain networks and regulated financial-market infrastructure.
For REAL Finance, the focus extends beyond token issuance toward infrastructure covering the broader lifecycle of tokenized assets.
REAL Finance Targets the Institutional RWA Market
Expanded ASSET access through Kraken EU gives REAL Finance another route to distribute its native token as the network develops its institutional ecosystem in Europe.
The more significant test, however, will be whether the company’s reported asset pipeline results in actual issuance and settlement activity onchain.
The expansion therefore represents another step in REAL Finance’s European strategy, while the growth of tokenization across established financial institutions could determine how much demand emerges for the infrastructure it is building.
