Radisson Hotel Group has launched an app that uses ChatGPT to let travellers search for hotels, compare accommodation options, and check live room rates through conversations with the AI chatbot.
Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the app is available as @RadissonHotels on ChatGPT. It allows users to search across more than 1,000 Radisson properties in over 100 countries using natural-language prompts, removing the need to browse traditional booking websites.
Travellers can, for example, ask ChatGPT to recommend a family-friendly hotel in Amsterdam or suggest a property near the Eiffel Tower in Paris with facilities such as a gym and spa. The app then returns relevant hotel options, including room availability, pricing, amenities, and location details, before directing users to Radisson’s website to complete the booking.
Users can begin a new ChatGPT conversation by mentioning @RadissonHotels at the start of their prompt and describing the type of hotel they are looking for. The app displays Radisson properties with live room rates, hotel amenities, location details, and interactive maps. After selecting a hotel, users are redirected to the Radisson Hotels website to finalise the booking.
The launch reflects a broader shift in how travel companies are handling online bookings, as more consumers turn to AI assistants for researching destinations and accommodations. For hotel groups, that means visibility is no longer limited to search results and booking platforms; it also depends on whether properties can be found and presented inside the AI tools travellers are already using during trip planning.
Radisson said the ChatGPT app is part of its strategy to improve the discoverability of its hotels through AI-powered conversations rather than relying only on traditional search engines and booking platforms. The company describes this approach as “agentic commerce,” in which AI helps users discover, compare, and select services through conversation.
“AI is radically transforming how people search for and book hotel stays, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this shift,” said Gianni Di Fede, Chief Commercial Officer at Radisson Hotel Group. “With Accenture, we are reimagining hotel discovery for the next generation of travellers, meeting guests in the planning moment with a branded experience that makes it easier to find, compare and book Radisson Hotels properties.”
The app connects directly to Radisson’s hotel systems, giving real-time information on room availability, pricing, and hotel details.
Radisson and Accenture said they plan to expand the experience over time with features such as personalised recommendations, loyalty programme recognition, reservation management, trip modifications, and AI concierge services.
The app was built using Accenture’s AI Merchant Center, a platform designed to help businesses optimise digital content and booking systems for AI-driven search and discovery.
The launch comes as travel companies increasingly adapt their services for AI-assisted trip planning. According to Accenture Consumer Pulse Research, 87% of travellers are open to using an AI-powered travel assistant to help them find suitable travel options. In addition, 71% expect AI to influence at least half of their spending on hotels and airlines in the next year.
The new ChatGPT app also builds on Accenture’s broader partnership with OpenAI, which aims to help businesses integrate AI into customer experiences and operational processes.
