Phantom, a popular self-custody crypto wallet, will end support for the Sui blockchain on Sept. 24, removing Sui balances, sends, swaps and dapp connections from inside its app. For users who keep Sui in Phantom, the change will directly affect how they view and move those assets.

According to the company’s post on X, Phantom will switch off Sui support inside the wallet on Sept. 24. After that date, Sui will no longer appear as a supported network in the app.

Four Sui-specific functions are being removed at the same time: balances, sends, swaps and dapp connections. A dapp connection allows a wallet to link to a decentralized application, meaning an application that runs on a blockchain rather than on a company’s servers.

The change means Phantom users will no longer be able to view Sui holdings inside the app once support ends. They will also no longer be able to send Sui or swap it from within Phantom. In addition, Sui-based decentralized applications will no longer be able to connect to Phantom, so users relying on Sui apps through the wallet will need another connection method.

The removal is more than a simple interface adjustment because Phantom is withdrawing support for an entire chain at the wallet level. That makes the Sept. 24 cutoff a practical deadline for users who want to keep accessing Sui through Phantom’s familiar interface rather than moving activity elsewhere. For affected users, that means planning a migration to another wallet before the deadline if they want to continue managing Sui assets and applications.
